The beach was lovely in this resort and it was a good resort to commute to and from other areas plenty of pleasant scenery to look at

Porto Cristo is a lovely place, it is kept clean and tidy and the small sandy beach is swept daily. There is plenty of shops, though nightlife is limited.

Porto Cristo is an attractive resort and would be much better during the busy period in season. I found it very quiet.

A very quite but pretty place. Everything shuts at 7pm so you would have to spend 10 euro to go to San Coma.

If with children this resort is not for you. The beach is fine, we should know as we stayed here rather than the hotel monte verde. The bars are excessively expensive the nightlife and entertainment is non-existent. Try near by Calla Millor / Cala Bona.

Punta Reina is not in Porto Cristo as advertised - it is in Cala Mandia. Parts of which resemble a ghost town - lots of empty shop units. There's one "British Bar" (Molly Brown's) which is a 5 min walk from Punta Reina. Other than that, there's basically nothing else in Cala Mandia - there's a Spar, a couple of "bucket and spade" shops and that's it. If you walk up to the Insotel Club Cala Mandia (which is a 4T AND 4 star hotel) there's a couple of shops/cafe's up there but nothing else. Some of the pavemnets leave a lot to be desired and the street lights don't work - it's an eery walk back to Punta Reina from Molly Browns i can tell you!
The beeches however are small but lovely, beautifuil sand, clear water - there's a couple of lovely coves which really trap the sun. There are lots of steps to get down to the beech though. Porto Cristo itself is a bus ride (or "noddy train" journey) away - it's a fairly small + quiet town. The town basically shuts at 8pm. If you want to go out on a night you've got to get a taxi (the last bus is about 6pm) to Sa Coma, Cala Millor (the liveliest place), or Cala Bona. There's lots of "British Bars", and the shops are open after 8pm!!

Cala Mandia itself is again clean & tidy with a choice of 2 excellent beaches.
Very quiet at night with limited restaurants & bars, as most guests of the 2 large Hotel's (Punta Reina & Club Insotel ) are on an All Inclusive board.

Porto Cristo is beautiful during the day, closed at night!
Restaurants on the front very expensive to eat at.

Beautiful resort, quiet and the town closed early. The caves of Drach are just opposite the hotel and are well worth a visit.

A developing resort means that it is very quiet and quite rural. The beach access although poor from our location was within walking distance. It was clean and also had a lifeguard on patrol. There were a few restaurants away from our hotel including a British run bar which made us feel unwelcome unlike its Spanish neighbour which was exceptional and very cheap.
