The hotel was basic but we only used it for a base. The staff could not do enough for you and Danny and Tony in the bar were really friendly.

When we got to our rooms they were very spacious and clean, a bit dated but the size more than made up for it.
The pool like people say is on the small size but adequate, there are plenty of inflatables that everybody shares(we even left ours there for other people)The bingo in the evening is a must just to have a laugh.
The food is a real treat, large meals and cooked to perfection, you can even order them to take up to your balcony if you choose to sit in and watch the world go by.
The one down side is the noise of the scooters at night when the staff from the large hotel across the road finish their shift.
The beach is just across the road and its a lovely beach at that.
The night life is very low key so if its that you are going for be prepared for a disappointment but on the plus side we had our 18 year old daughter and 18 year nephew who could walk about without any fear of gangs of drunken youngster to deal with, they even took the younger siblings with them for walks.
As it was the end of the Spanish holidays when we were there on the Friday it was a huge beach party right into the night with all the Spanish families partying together on the sand, then on the Saturday it was one huge street party, then on the Sunday it was the best ever fireworks display where it looked like the fireworks were coming straight out of the sea it was amazing.
A real must is walking into Porto cristo to the caves of drac, its one long cycle track and very safe to walk with kids.
This was a very relaxing holiday for us all and we feel we got real value for money.
It is not for the young lively types at all.

Silliot/Sa Coma is fine but not a lot for kids but safe!
The beach in Silliot is safe and shallow and very litle surf!
I can reccommend two restaurants in Sa Coma just across the bridge. The 'Azul' and beside it the 'Moreya' excellent food!!

We did enjoy our holiday and just used our room as a base - the worst thing was the lack of cleanliness - our room was never cleaned in 2 weeks - the maids visited 3 times and only made the beds (with the old covers!).
The rooms were large and had really good potential - it wouldn't take much to make it a really nice apartment - clean it, replace curtains with huge tears in and replace toilet seat which was badly chipped and stained.
The pool was also quite dirty - the corners of it were green.
The staff were okay - everyone was moaning at how miserable they all were - but they seemed to work incredibly long hours.
The problems we had were - 1. The toilet broke and no one came to fix it for 2 days - we couldn't flush it 2. The shower head broke off the wall 3. on 3 occasions we had no water to the apartment whatsoever (apparently if everyone has a shower at the same time it can't cope)

The apartments are basic but very spacious and clean. the staff are courteous and polite, nothing is too much trouble, if there was a problem (not that we had any) Karen the receptionist would do her utmost to solve it.
The location of the Arcos Playa to the beach could not be any closer a one minute walk. The sunday dinners served in the restaurant were really good value, and very tasty too.

The location is perfect, just 30 secs from a lovely beach.
A laid back resort for families and older couples.
The furniture could do with replacing tatty and dirty.
Overall pay that bit extra and stay somewhere better.

I had the most fantastic holiday this year and last year and I'm also looking to go next year even thought my parents have just bought an apartment in the Costa Blanca.
The apartments are family run by Tony and Margo who are brother and sister. There where so helpful if you needed anything you just ask its not a problem. The entertainment was great for the kids, day and night.
My 3 year old daughter loved it, especially as Tony and Margo spoilt her the whole time she was there. After our meal at the apartments restaurant we settled by the bar for the nights entertainment.
All the staff are really friendly and helpful and it was nice to see they had the same staff as last year so we knew exactly what to expect this year. The bar staff especially Danny would wait on you hand and foot. I don't think I got up to go to the bar once when he was working.
The food is fantastic the first year we ate out at different places till we realised that the food at the apartment was twice the size and for a fraction of the price. Real value for money. (They also do special offers on the huge cooked breakfasts.) We arrived really late at night and they cooked us a meal even though the kitchen was about to close.
The pool is cleaned every night, you usually see the man cleaning it. The rooms were extremely clean and very spacious. The kitchen was bacis but i didn't go on holiday to cook. The whole place was fantastic and great for families. The beach was a stones throw away, the apartments are opposite the beach bars thats how close it is.
I couldn't have wished for a better holiday. I would recommend these apartments to anyone. This is not a 5 star hotel but you will get 5 star service off the staff.
