Location
There were two adults and three children age eleven , six and two in our party.
Well, I have to say we had a fantastic holiday!
The kids were playing in the pool and playing games round the pool. There was also plenty to keep them ocupied in the little children's club. They were crying when we had to go home.
The food was ok, not the best but good for a three star hotel. We never had a bad meal.
I think alot of people want four star treatment in a three star hotel.
The hotel was spotless, staff were always cleaning up the hotel and round the pool area.
The location was spot on. The beautiful beach was only a five minute walk (if that) and there were some lovely shops and bars around the corner.
The only problem we had really was the entertainment. The mini disco for the children was great but only four or five songs were played and that was it, we think it should have lasted a bit longer than that.
After the disco, either the entertainment staff would do something, or sometimes they would have a singer or dancers on.
The hotel needs to sort the entertainment out and then they would have a brilliant hotel all round.
I think we would go back to the Gran Playa at some point.

Pool area was clean and tidy and we had no problems getting sunbeds at any time of the day.Pools were always freezing.Hotel food was o.k.plenty of choice although a little on the cold side at times.Free icecreams and cakes went down well with the children.Great location 5 minutes from a beautiful beach and local shops and bars.
Entertainment was poor and staffs friendliness improved as our week went on.We would not hesitate to visit this hotel again.

Hotel clean except around pool area but this due to people who could not take the time to put rubbish in bins.
Food plentiful but lacked variety chips / jacket potatoes every day, plenty of fresh fruit available.
Not far from resort centre short walkto beautiful beaches.
Staff could learn how to smile more but who can blame them for looking miserable with some of the guests they had to deal with.
Entertainment geared at kids or non existant pretty boring we thought but some seemed happy with it.
Would not go back had 3 bad days weather and was totally bored, most people we spoke to felt the same.
15 accidents around pool caused by broken tiling and police called to hotel 2 during our 10 day stay.

2 hours later, we made our way to the pool, only to find that all of the sunbeds had been "taken", i.e, they were reserved by towels being placed on them. This was the trend for the entire week - wake up at 06:45, then queue until 8AM when they opened the doors to the pool to actually let you out so that you could place your own towel on one of the filthy and damaged sunbeds. The restaurant opened at 8AM, but God forbid you chanced your arm and tried to sneak a cup of coffee whilst in the "sunbed queue" - this was strictly forbidden, and resulted in a severe reprimand from the "concierge" (and we all know who he is !).
The food in fairness wasn't too bad - if you like everything deep fried. Some of it was truly stomach churning, but that's just me being polite. Please note you cannot buy Andrews anywhere in Sa Coma - just Eno's , which just can't cut through all that grease.
There was a curfew in force, which meant that the bar shut at 00:30. Everybody was then expected to go to their rooms. I didn't one night (had a few drinks sat on a wall outside with some friends), and the police were called !!!!
The entertainers did the best they could, although the young lad was sometimes a little near the knuckle when there were kids present. What got us most was the almost oppressive atmosphere with all the rules and various regulations posted all over the place.
Did we have a good holiday? The weather was OK, and we met some really nice people. Andy & Michelle, Lena & John, Karl & Tina, The Baron & Jan The Man, but the person who made it for me personally was that famous 5 year old pirate "Cap'n Jack Sparrow", who shone brighter than the mediterranean sun. God bless ya'll - may we all meet again.

Food was awful even the plates smelt and were greasy.
The snacks were better than the meals and were on plastic plates which we prefered to use. The spa down the road does lovely fresh bread, the hotels is stale.
The hotel was well located with bars and restaurants local and a short walk from the beach. We ate out every evening.
The staff tried hard to entertain however the staff and the magician thought nothing of swearing which I find unacceptable infront of my kids.
Alot of the people around the pool area used far worse language than the entertainers.
The sunbeds and chairs were broken and not enough space for all guests in the accomodation about 200 beds and 500 guests and they were all packed around the pool area like sardines.
The holiday wasn't expensive but I have paid the same price for far better places.
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. I would not go back.
Sa Coma is nice and we actually had a fair holiday but needless to say we were never at the hotel. We certainly didn't get value for money from the All Inclusive as we only used the facility like a self catering apartment.

Staff very very rude, never smiled when you approached them. Infact we found the cleaners to be the most pleasant.
Becarefull around the pool as there are broken tiles and many people had cuts and accidents, Very dangerous. People with children be EXTRA careful as we saw no life guards at all during our stay.
Once saving grace was the location, this was excellent and would visit the area again, but never this hotel.
BE WARNED, VISIT THIS HOTEL AT YOUR PERILL

The hotel in general was kept clean. The manageress and the maid on our floor (7) were pleasant, but all other staff, we found, were most unpleasant.
The pool area was only hosed down once in our 2 weeks that we were there, and that was because we had a thunderstorm overnight and the pool area was waterlogged, there were broken tiles in the pool, and many people, children and adults, cut themselves. Please take care if you are going to this hotel.
The entertainment staff were very friendly, and did their best to keep people amused, we think if some more money was available to them, they would be able to have some more outside entertainers in.
There were many rules of what you could do or not do, within the hotel, pool area and dining room.
We would go back to the resort again, but the hotel should be avoided.

The rooms are basic but adequate with plenty of room and a balcony in every room. There is a lounge and a bedroom. The maids clean 5 times per week and are very helpful if you need extra towels etc.
The swimming pools are excellent - there are 4 altogether. There is an adults pool and then 3 integrated smaller pools for children of all ages.
The food is fine. There is plenty of variety with at least 4 main courses to choose from. What people fail to understand is that you are in Majorca so food is cooked a little differently, but it tastes really good. If you want nuggets and burgers every day then why not stay in England?
The Entertainments team work really hard. There are only 3 of them and they work from 10.30 until 12.30 in the morning doing games for both children and adults and this is repeated in the afternoon between 3-5pm. There are a variety of activities to participate in and Diplomas are given at night for the winners.
Then at night a Mini Disco starts the evening which the children really enjoy. There is then a game of Bingo where you can win Euros and then there is either an external show e.g. parrot show, magician or the entertainments team do their own show e.g grease. This does involve audience participation but you are on holiday so join in the fun.
We had a fantastic time and we are seriously considering returning to the Gran Playa next year.
Thank you for a nice fun holiday

Although the hotel had seen better days it was spotlessly clean, all rooms cleaned 5 days out of 7 pool area certain areas around the bar were messy with cups and food but this was not the staffs fault they were always tidying up. There are plenty of bins provided but certain families just couldn't be bothered to use them credit to the staff for trying to keep up with everything.
Pools spotless couldn't keep my kids out.
Food nothing spectacular but plentiful you will not starve always 3 main choices salads ect.
Entertainment both day and night organized by three reps who certainly did a better job than some of the big tour companies at least they joined in and actually seemed to enjoy their work not even minding being pushed in the pool several times a day.
All in all we got what we wanted a good holiday at a good price.

The food wasnt much to write home about the first week it was ok after that we ate out alot.
The entertainment for the kids & the minidisco were good but the entertainment for the adults was dreadful except for the magician he was brilliant.
The only thing i hated was people would put their towels on the sun lounges to reserve them and never used them all day!!!
