We were in block C and were very happy with this as it got the sun until about 1.30 p.m.
Block A got the sun in the afternoon and evening but this could make the room very hot.
Having said that all rooms seem very spacious and bright.

Sa coma is a very nice resort for familys and couples. It has many resturants we recommend the mariners good food and prices. For a more special evening try cafe del mar. Entertainment is good the music bars have alot going on but they are a little pricey.
The beach is great it has natural shade with palm trees its right beside a nature reserve which you can take a walk up to the castle.
The shops are the usual tourist ones but cala millor is only 10mins away and it has many more shops.

We have stayed in Sa Coma 4 times now and really like the resort. Quite a lot of shops, plenty bars and eating places if you need them. It is reasonably quiet and low key in the evenings - a few lively bars if you want them. The beach is very nice. I would go back again in the future

over crowded beach, although nice. The resort has no focal point eg harbour or beach front bars or restaurants. Restaurants are mainly British pub food with chips, no Majorcan charm at all.

Small clean resort with bars and reataurants, maybe not enough entertainment for teenagers but good for families with young kids and maybe older couples.
Beach is fantastic, cleanest , clearest sea I have ever seen, great for swimming/snorkelling.
Not a great deal of restaurants, probably due to number of all-inclusive hotels. Best ones are in nearby S'Illot, although lots of British bars/reataurants.

The Resort is quite clean but did look a bit tired in places.
We stayed all-inclusive at the Vista Badia, so didn't feel the need to go out for entertainment in the evenings as all our drinks were free at the hotel! The entertainment which was advertised in the resort looked of good quality - other people's opinions may differ.
The beach in Sa Coma is fantastic with a 1km long sandy beach. There are life guards to keep you safe and plenty of water sports to keep you occupied. Catamarans dock at one end of the beach which will take you to neighbouring resorts. The beach was always lovely and clean and very safe for people of all ages.
As we had our hire car we didn't need to use public transport, but there are buses connecting neighbouring resorts and further afield to Palma. The road train connects Cala Bona, Cala Millor, Sa Coma and Sillot.
Although we love this area of Majorca, I think that it is time that we tried somewhere new.

Sa Coma has been improved over the years. There is no longer a smell from the central reservation in the main road, the roads are surfaced better and the place seems to have a lot less smelly wheelie bins dotted about.
Most of the restaurants haven't changed apart from the Only Fools and Horses bar has gone. We ate at El Sol, Oasis, Salvators and the Peking Duck chinese which were all excellent. Had one meal at The Kings Head which has a great atmosphere but you are served with chips chips and more chips. Ok if thats your thing but I don't do chips when I'm on holiday abroad i'm afraid.
Spent a lot of time in Bar Cristobal British Sports Bar. Gabriel the owner and his family are lovely people who we have become good friends with over the years. His little boy Toni spent a lot of time with us on the beach even though he doesn't speak a word of English and us only very limited Spanish. It was interesting to see after the tragic Madeline case that when I picked Toni up from the bar at lunchtime to walk back to the beach, 2 or 3 shopkeepers stopped us and asked Toni who I was and even the waiter in Burger King asked him if he was safe with me!!!
As to the beach, well it's fantastic. Safe warm shallow water, lovely clean sand, 2 paramedics on standby daily and a guy selling pedalo, banana boat and parasol rides.
Watch out for the fruit sellers on the beach, 18 euros was the going rate for a slice of melon if you got stitched up. Do not- I repeat do not take the complimentary slither that they offer you, once you've touched it you are doomed!!!
We are definately going back next year but to a different hotel. To be honest, we thought that we'd had enough of Sa Coma but since last being there we have done mainland Spain, Scotland, Turkey and Greece. Nowhere even comes near Sa Coma for a family holiday and I even think my wife and I will even go back when the kids have finaly flown the nest!
