The room was spacious.the food was good but the staff were very friendly and helpful. People with walking difficulties may have trouble, the hotel is on a hill and there are a lot of stairs in the hotel.

Excellent hotel, all areas very clean and tidy, maid service every day. No problems getting a sunbed whatever time of the day, pool area was always nice & quiet for us and our 2 yr old son. Food was excellent every day, was always something to eat for even the fussiest of eaters. The only downside for us with a youngster & buggy was all the steps down to the pool, however, in the 2nd week we realised the apartments next door had a lift on the pool level so we just used that & the hotel was just next door with just 5 steps to negotiate at the front door which was far easier. The hotel is on an elevated position, but the hill to the right of the hotel as you come out is not as long as the hill on the other side, but we had two 66year olds with us and they managed just fine - just needed a wee rest halfway up. If we were going back to this report we would probably stay at the Casablanca apartments next door, as we liked the area it was in & the friendlieness of the staff.

The Casablanca Hotel is a lovely hotel in a good location. Some reports state it is on a steep hill - I would call it more of a slope and unless you have difficulty walking there's not a problem. The food at the hotel is, in our opinion, fantastic and even our fussy 14 year old found something he liked every day for the full fortnight. The hotel is absolutely spotless with fresh towels every day and its one of the few hotels we've been to where you can get a sun bed round the pool at any time of day. If we came back to Santa Ponsa we would definately come to the Casablanca Hotel.

The hotel shares a hill top location with several other hotels, may not be ideal for prams, wheelchairs ect. Its a short walk to Santa Ponsa beach or a 15 min walk to the smaller cove beach.
The rooms either have a terrace or balcony overlooking the pool or hotel entrance and are air conditioned, they were cleaned daily and the hotel itself was cleaned constantly. however for a family of four the room was quite small and we could have used more storage space, also there was no TV or kettle.
The food is served all you can eat buffet style with either various med starters or soup of the day followed by the main course selection and dessert/fruit selection, sometimes the chef would appear to cut the meat by hand, a waiter was available to get your wine or drinks.
Breakfast was cereals baps/bread,ham,cheese, fruit or english breakfast, tea, coffee and fruit juice.
and lets not forget to mention the inevitable rotating toaster!
The hotel is very quiet, we went after the june school holidays and most of the multi-national guests were either over 50 or young familys and couples.
The hotel has two swimming pools, a freeform pool/toddler near the S/C apartments and rectangular pool with another toddler pool attached. The pool area never got really busy, even though some guests reserved their lilos/parasols there was still plenty throughout the day.
There is also a ping pong and pool table near the pool bar.
The pool bar had two menus, main menu 4-7 Euro meals or baguettes/burgers for 2.8 Euros(the main menu was unavailable at our time)A pint of lager was 2.8 Euros and soft drinks at 1.7 Euros, cocktails at 4-6 Euros.
The entertainment was only for 2 nights, a singing duo and a spanish singer/flamenco dancers group, most of the guests went out to Santa Ponsa at night.
The hotel staff are excellent and very friendly towards the children. However there are no kids clubs or rep animations at this hotel.
Top marks to viv the Thomas cook rep, very helpful.
this was a very nice peaceful hotel to stay at with our two young children.
