To be honest there was very little i could fault this hotel about. The location was superb, just 2 minutes from the beach, it was up quite a steep hill so could pose problems for anyone with mobility issues. It was situated down the quiter end of santa ponsa but still had a decent number of good bars and restaurants in the immediate vacinity. The irish quarter was only a 10 minute walk along the promenade if you wanted some more lively bars.
The hotel was the cleanest i have ever stayed in, it truly was spotless. The maid service was also very good and they would always be polite and cleaned the rooms up until 4pm which was a bonus as some days we needed out lie ins.
The rest of the hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. Especially Tony and Sabina on reception.
Cant really comment on the food at the hotel as we were staying on a bed and breakfast basis. Although the breakfasts were lovely and we had a load of different options.
The hotel did seem to have about a 70-30 percent german/british clientele. And as a result most of the entertainment was geared towards the germans. This was not a problem for us though as we tend to go outside our hotel for entertainment anyway. I must also say how friendly all the german people were, even the morning after they lost the football final.
The rooms were a good size and we had a balcony with lovely views over the pine woods and the beach. My possible only gripe was that there were only 2 english tv channels on the tv [cnn and eurosport] and as i am a light sleeper i need the tv to help me drop off. More channels would certainly have been welcome. But i suppose you cant have everything.
All in all i was very pleased with our choice of hotel and will certainly be returning to the lovely resort of santa ponsa and the delfin siesta mar.
