This hotel is spotlessly clean, and furnished well. The hotel food was lovely. The hotel was near all the restaurants, bars and cafes. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach but there are small coves beside the hotel that are nice to sunbathe or go snorkling in. The staff are all friendly, the woman in charge at the desk is English which comes in handy at times. There seemed to be plenty of daytime activities at the pool, you have to get up about 8am to get a sunbed, everyone puts their towels down. The rooms are big enough for two adults and a child, they have very little cooking facilities, but we had breakfast at the hotel then went out in the evening for our dinner. I would definately return to this hotel.

Just come back from a great week at these apartments.
Although they are small for a family of four (son of 12 slept on new zbed) they were immaculately clean and modern and as we had beautiful weather we did not spend much time inside! Insist on sea view though - we were offered option, no extra charge when booking on internet.
There is a self service buffet style restuarant which we were told by other people was good but we did not try it ourselves.
Pool area was clean and with plenty of sunbeds and shady areas and pool was lovely and warm but deep if you have kiddies/non swimmers. Hotel staff were friendly and daily entertainment was laid on ie. archery, waterpolo, darts, table tennis etc.
There is no 'kids club' but there is a safe, shady play areas for small kiddies.
The apartments are about a 15min walk to beach but only 5mins to the 'square' where there is lots of great night time entertainment.
I would be happy to recommend these apartments!

The hotel was amazing, great spacious and clean accommodation.
Excellent buffet style breakfast & dinners which could be bought daily if you were self catering.
Staff were really friendly and helpful any requests were honoured practically straight away.
Sea views from your balcony were stunning. In October still warm enough to sit on the balcony with a drink

I stayed in this hotel in August, 2004. I must say I was so impressed with this hotel I actually brought people we met in the spanish square back to the apartment to show them how wonderful it was. They have all booked for next year :-). Staff were wonderful apart from the English receptionist?? who seemed to have a problem with Irish people. I cannot explain it she would be very off hand with Irish and very pleasant to the other nationalities. I thought I was being paranoid and mentioned it to other people staying in the hotel. English said she was lovely the Irish said she was rude and off hand. Her problem I suppose the rest of the staff made up for her. The childrens animation was fantastic. George I think his name was used to work in warner brothers and was fantastic he looked like jackie chan my children thought. Well worth trying the meals in the hotel they were wonderful and loads of choice. The deserts were to die for :-). The maid service was impecable and the maids were very friendly. Pool was spotless. View was amazing. Make sure you pay for a sea view as the other views are not nice.

The hotel was situated in a good location, i.e. within walking distance of everything, but far enough away not to be noisy at night.
The sunbed situation was dire, if you had any chance of getting one you had to be up mega early and place your towels. AND if you were lucky enough to get a sunbed, they had no cushions and were back-breaking.
However we were within walking distance of the beach which was clean and comfortable,, (9euros for two beds and shade), plenty of cafes etc, and the supermarket nearby.
The self catering aspect was dire, we had to hire a toaster, there was no microwave and only two solid electric rings.
Luckily we had brought a mini kettle, but it would have been hard to produce anything worth eating had there been more than two people. There was a fridge, tho, which scored a plus. The room was clean and adequate and the cleaning ladies were nice.
We didn't sample any of the hotel food, as there were plenty of places to eat out. The nicest bit of the holiday was Bar Lucinda next door, run by Othello, who was very friendly and helpful.
The Jardin del Mar definitely had a lack of local info leaflets, bus timetables, tourist promotion etc, one week was enough.
Don't think we would go back for longer than a week.
