Looking to get 2 weeks off in August 2007 tomorrow so I can rebook for the 4th year running.

Good meals. There were plenty of bars and restaurants 2-5mins walk. Try El Patio for an excellent meal, 10mins walk.
Bus to Cituidalla cheap and bus stop right outside reception, 20mins on the bus. Had some fab meals by the harbour.

The bar staff are all really friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The drinks are very reasonably priced too.
We found the apartments to be a good size, well equipped and spotlessly clean.
We would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone.

We had a ground floor apt which was wonderful as we could just walk from our patio to the pool, like having your own private pool, in fact quite often I was the only person in the pool, it being early in the season and the pool not really having warmed up yet.
The bar staff were particularly helpful and friendly, special thanks to Mickey and Chris for making our holiday so special. Anyone staying there has to watch the guests v waiters football, it is quite a sight.
The food, though quite a small menu, is wonderful, my girls loved the omelette's and we had nothing that wasn't excellent quality.
All in all an excellent holiday, I'm already looking to book again for later in the year.

The kitchen had a 4-ring electic hob, a toaster and a small portable electric oven plus all the utensils and cutlery you need for self-catering. There was even an iron and ironing board provided though the absence of an electric kettle in a 3-star complex seemed a little odd. The comfortable king-size bed was a welcome surprise though and makes a change from some of twin rock-slab beds you sometimes get in other apartments.
One not-so-pleasant surprise on arrival was finding a nest of garden ants decamped between the dining area window and the shutters so I had to deal with those on the first day. Other little niggles were that the patio light didn't work and the patio door latch didn't lock though I was able to fix that myself. The tight-fitting front door was also difficult to open from the inside because there wasn't a proper internal door handle, only a tiny little latch knob to pull on. More importantly though the smoke detector battery was dead and had been disconnected so it doesn't look like these are being checked very regularly.
Although there are several supermarkets just across the road from the complex, we had hired a car for the whole holiday and found prices cheaper at the SYP supermarket on the road to Ciutadella and more choice at the Diskont Hipermercado supermarket on the road to Cala'n Bosch.
We had a great holiday enhanced by the excellent weather last week. We liked the complex and the apartments despite the little niggles with our particular apartment. These were all reported and will hopefully be sorted by the time the complex reopens for business. As several other holidaymakers we spoke to had no problems at all with their apartments we would consider staying here again though probably only out of the main summer season again.

Bar staff excellent and always pleased to see you. Entertainment was good, the magician made the holiday as he had to ad-lib for several minutees. Hired a car, cost varies from place to place, please look.
Visited most of the island, and found an excellent Minorcan restuarant 'El Patio' in Cala'n Blanes a twenty minute walk from the apartments. It is worth the stroll passing the usual tourist traps. It is a family run business and you are treated as one of the family!
Would recommend this location as the new road system being built makes it great for discovering this unique island.
Only tip take your time and slow down and enjoy an island which we will visit again.

The only thing that worries me is we hear there might not be a kids club there next year.

There's loads of space around the big pools and no battling for sunbeds, although some guests did set their alarms early to ensure they got 'their' spot - sad people.
Staff were very friendly and typically worked hard and long hours, all english speaking, they even play the guests at 5 a side on a weekly basis.
We had no real expectations about entertainment but would say that Caroline one of the reps worked extremely hard keeping us entertained. Some of the acts were 'ok' and some (especially Enigma the magician) were superb.

Being picked up from the Airport was a breeze- we were directed to our coaches by a Thomson Rep and told a bit about the Menorcan Culture on the way to the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted by even more smiling faces, explaining about entertainment and facilities in the complex. We were then directed to the apartment which was to be our home for the next week.
The first thing we noticed as we entered our new accommodation was the welcoming, clean smell. The floors and walls were absolutely spotless and the beds were made immaculately. They were then remade every 2-3 days. The towels were also replenished on these days.
The children loved going to kidszone everyday- it was fun and they learnt things they didn't know before. My youngest child - determined not to be left out of the fun -also learnt to swim.
The night time entertainment was wonderful - especially the tribute to Christina, Britney and Tina Turner. Everybody was up and singing - even the children. The bingo was enjoyable enough - though would have been easier to concentrate on if there hadn't been music constantly playing in the background.
The highlight of our holiday was definitely meeting up with new people. The whole family made new friends and the children were often inseparable from their new playmates. Ideally the game room was right next to the bar/dining area- so whilst we adults enjoyed the entertainment the children could amuse themselves too.
Caroline (the main entertainer) was a great laugh and loads of fun to talk to. She kept the daytime activities running smoothly with various pool games in the afternoons.
I would definitely come back to Vista Picas and the atmosphere was exactly what a holiday should be - lively, carefree and fun!
