We like Es Castell, a mix of traditional and tourist appeal - with good restuarants and a relaxed but not too quiet a feel.

Stayed at Es Castell Loads of dog c***P around,no beach, tiny millitary museum which is worth a visit.
Totally unsuitable for children. No more can be said about the place

We found everywhere in Menorca very nice & clean. All the people we met were very nice & the hotel was very nice.
Bars & Resteraunts in Es Castell are concentrated at the pretty Calla Fonts harbour. There are also small bars & eating places dotted about all over the grid pattern streets. Not much entertainment on offer, just a couple of places with sky sports.
Favourite bar for Guinness, tv sports & information was La Paloma.
There is no beach at all for miles, but there is a nice promanade.
There are some lovely beaches on the island but a car is essential if you want to use them & stay in Es Castell.

The resort itself is very small and very quiet. No beach, but rock swimming in crystal clear water. Very little night life other than bars. Just the job for a relaxed and tranquil holiday.

We loved Menorca - it was so relaxing and yet a lot to see and do. Very clean and the people were very friendly. Definately go back! The weather in September was fabulous!

There is no beach in Es Castell and consquently few children in the resort which is really just a suburb of Mahon. Entertainment centred around the harbour where there was a choice of a few bars. The resort is fine for anyone looking for a quiet break in close proximity to Mahon. We will be back!

The local resort is a short walk away and after dinner it sparkles with locals and promenaders - good to sit watch the world go by and enjoy the local music and Jazz. Get a Glass Bootom Boat and tour the harbour. We find Car Hire a must for 2 reasons. Menairca has so much to offer from Forenells to Cieutedella, Mont Torro to Mahon - so much to see and there are some smashing coves and beaches that withiut a car you would not see or appreciate

The resort is a sort of small town rather than a beach resort.....as there isn't a beach. The most activity seems to happen around the small harbour where there are a couple of bars and a good selection of restaurants all of which over look the harbour.
No beaches but lots of small harbors, swimming from the rocks available. Quite busy after a short, hilly walk but quiet near the hotel.
