Punta Prima
Quiet, laid back with a few bars and restaurants and no night clubs. So should the entertainment be a 2 or a 5??! Lovely family beach with toilets not too far from the beach in the bistro/gift shop complex and a constant life guard presence. There is some fantastic snorkelling/cliff diving sites on the coast between Punta Prima and Binibequer (only a couple of KM). If you do not swim its still worth walking the coast between the 2 and having a Cerveza or Dos at each end. But be aware this is not small kids and flip flop territory. The rocks here are sharp and being volcanic there are many fissures that drop 30 odd feet. But thats what makes the great snorkelling and diving. Take some bread and bananas and see how many fish come to you. Also the currents here can change VERY quicly and can be quite strong. Best todo it ata weekend as if the locals arent jumping in and swimming around the cliffs and caves, then you shouldn't either!
All in all a very small quiet resort with all the basics you need. If you want it boisterous and lively, you're on the wrong island. If you want a quiet beach holiday with a very beautiful capital with good shopping and restaurants a 20 minute bus ride away......... its great.

Punta Prima is a small resort with a handful of bars and restaurants and convenience stores. The beach was of an excellent standard with full time life guard facilities for peach of mind. On an evening the beach front converts into a small market which sells hand made crafts, jewellery and clothing. Local buses stop at numerous places in the town at regular times we would recommend a visit to Mahon (Capital) this is a very good day out.

The resort is quiet and very clean. The hotel is situated amongst local villas and we enjoyed our evening stroll down to the sleepy fishing port to mix with the locals who are very friendly. Resort entertainment is varied to suit all tastes and finishes at a reasonable time because the kids are tired by then. Shame beach is a little further than expected and not very clean. Shuttle bus is acceptable. Road Train was cheap and cheerful.

This resort is lovely. It is small and quiet. Not suitable for anyone wanting late nightlife.Older children & teenagers would be bored here. Its great for young families & older couples.
There was no loud music, burger bars, time share touts, lookey lookey men or yobs.
The beach was cleaned every day. There were a lot of sunbeds to hire,15 euros for two beds & an umbrella.
You would not spend a lot of money here as there were only four shops and four restaurants. All the prices were very reasonable.

The area itself is quite quiet, although there were a few bars, returants and shops nearby. There were excellent facilities for children around the outside of the hotel complex including brand new play parks!

A very quiet resort probably best suited to elderly or single people. Nice beach with a few shops and restaurants. Small kids park.
