Beautiful resort. Lovely beach. Lots of little bars and restaurants. When we come again we will probably stay in one of the hotels in the town.

You can walk right out into the sea, it's very shallow up to the yellow buoys. The sunloungers and parasols are a complete rip off eg 2 sunloungers and 1 parasol was 17 euro. That can soon eat into your budget. We did what a lot of the people were doing, we bought our own for 7 euro just the job. Loads of shops sell them and you can take them back to the UK with you if you like.

It's not that cheap to eat and drink in Son Bou, usually paid about 30 euro for a meal for 2 with drinks in the evening when we could face food again.

In conclusion, we will visit this resort again.

I thought the resort was really great, I must Confess to spending most of my holiday at the only English bar in Son Bou,the Kit Cat Bar,Clive and the Staff there were very nice and hospitable and i hope to see them again soon,The beach was fantastic, the sea was like stepping into a bath, the water was that clear,a word of warning though about a few metres into the sea, they are some rocks, kinda clustered together like a mosaic, but gaps between them,so be careful, its not a major problem, but if you have any little ones, check it out first, the rocks only share a small portion of the Son Bou beach area,so you'd still enjoys the beautiful beach and refreshing sea,As Entertainment goes you have a Few late night ( til 4am-5am in the morning )clubs open, there is Casablanca's and Mojito's bar, which i spend too much time in and struggle to get up for breakfast,The Kit Cat Bar is English run and offer Quizzes and Karaoke in the week, also having couple of pool tables and if your hungry, a cheese and ham toastie is well worth a nibble, have a great holiday, Paul Nichols (Lincoln,UK)

We did not really venture out of the resort as we were all inclusive, but we did a bit of shopping - the usual holiday postcards and pool toys - and the beach was fantastic - clean, lovely sand and gentle waves with very shallow sea so we could walk out some way before reaching the tops of our legs.
Handy hint - we only saw these when we left our luggage as we were leaving (typical!) but in the left luggage room were lots of inflatable pool toys and beach umbrellas which Reception said had been left behind for others to use - and a beach umbrella would have been a good thing to have - so check out the left luggage room!

Clean safe huge beach for the day, great for kids with room for them to move without going out of sight. Can get windy, it keeps you cool but sand blowing on the surface is a pain. Small resort for the evening with a relaxed feeling. Mixture of places to eat with low key bars and a selection of shops.
Very much a family place with nothing there for same sex groups so dont expect night clubs, time share or leaflet pushers.

The beach is as perfect as you could want. We spent a lot of our week there.

Lots of people have "warned" about the naturist part of the beach but if you want to spend time there don't be worried, being naked isn't bad! My first time and I soon got used to it

It was a really friendly scene there and people who were staying in the hotel and went there also enjoyed it too, so good for meeting people!!

we stayed in the resort of son bou it was quiet but we did go at the end of sept their was still quite alot of entertainment in the bars etc shops were ok but most were the same really we stayed for a week and found there was enough to do for the times of stay but you might find you will get bored if you stayed any longer then that .the beaches were gorgeous /very clean but there was quite a few jelly fish so have to watch out for them .i think the only downside we found was that the footpaths were quite dangerous (broken / uneven) and that there was only one place that offered the day trips and that place only did two trips so you would have to pay alot more and go with the reps if you like to go on the trips but all in all son bou was a really nice place for familys very child friendly there .

Son Bou itself is a quiet resort with a parade of shops and small bars. There is a ten pin bowling alley but we didnt use it - too much like home! The beach itself is gorgeous and very clean. The only thing i would say is be warned it is a little rocky underfoot in the shallow parts but the water is clear. We were quite happy to stroll along the beach in the evenings and visit a few shops but if you want nightclubs etc then this isnt the place for you. The Hawaian bar was great for cocktails and the kids loved the waitresses on their roller blades. We would probably go back to Son Bou and this hotel for a relaxing break as we certainly got that!

The beach at Son Bou is beautiful and long. We took a walkalong the beach forgetting that part of it is for nudists! There are plenty of lifeguards about and they have a flag system to let you know whether the sea is safe. There is a banana boat and pedaloes and a couple of cafes. You can get two loungers and a parasol for 17 euros for the day, or if you're planning on spending a few days by the sea it would be worth investing in your own parasol and lilo.
We paddled along the beach while the sun was setting - very relaxing.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops/supermarkets in Son Bou. I'd definitely recommend eating at Boni's - the staff there were fantastic. Also the Copacabana Show Bar was great - it's open until 4am and has great entertainment and huge cocktails. Was a bit disappointed with the Hawian Bar -it was an expensive over rated experience.
There is a train which goes up to the top of the hills giving great views of the sea. You can just stay on there going round and round the resort until the driver tells you to get off.
All in all it was a fantastic holiday, and the best resort we've stayed at in Menorca. We'll definitely be going back next year.
