Arrived at the H10 Marina Barcelona about 9pm and there was a crowd at reception. We were checked in 5 mins later and allocated a room on the 5th floor.
It was a lovely, modern, spacious room with twin beds. 32’’ flat screen TV with BBC World, Sky Sports 1, Channel 4, Euro News, CNN. Fridge / mini bar with room for our own stuff, free safe, double wardrobe and 2 small drawers. There was free Wi-Fi with a password from reception. The bathroom was very nice with a shower over the bath, a sink, toilet and bidet. Loads of nice toiletries including a shaving kit, a dental kit, sewing kit, shower cap and comb as well as the usual stuff. The public areas were very nice and definitely 4*.
There was a roof top pool on the 8th floor and also a Wellness Centre / spa at 16 euros.
The bed was quite firm, which I prefer, but wouldn’t suit everyone.
The hotel is in a quiet area and there is a metro about 10 mins walk away
The restaurant was very busy, but we didn’t have long to wait for a table. The breakfast was excellent with 120 items in the buffet The donuts were gorgeous, it was proper orange juice, the coffee was good as was bacon and scrambled eggs.
Went to a small Italian restaurant / bar behind the hotel and we were the only people there. The owner didn’t speak English, but we managed to order some food and drinks. The drinks must have been very expensive as the bill was quite high and the food looked quite cheap on the menu.
The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the marina where there were loads of restaurants and bars and a nice promenade which seemed to go on for miles.
