Arrived Saturday 5th January ,but before leaving UK read about break ins on review sites . So i was not surprised when when people around the swimming pool and pool bar commented about recent break ins , then a couple days later the bungalow next to ours was broken into at night which was occupied by a disabled women and her friend,, they were totally distressed when they told us the about the burglary .I They lost there bank cards and smart phones Needless to say it spoiled our holiday 'as we didn't sleep very well at night and barricaded our door every night .The rest of our stay did not get any better( As we only had breakfast ) I can only comment on that, and it was always cold so consequently we had cold meals every morning and people we talked to agreed the same. One person we talked who had been there for new year said the food was OK before new year then went downhill after new years eve

Hotel tip: Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

The food was very basic and most of the time on the cold side.
The bungalows were nice and clean and the also the pool area. The most disappointing part was the bar area; it was all plastic chairs and serve yourself beer and soft drinks in paper cups. If you wanted spirits you had to wait to be served but it was still in paper or plastic cups. I have never drank Baileys in anything other than a glass it just doesnt taste the same.
This hotel is no higher than a 2 star and not 4 star as stated.
We enjoyed the free meal we had at Tony Romas in fact we went back twice as the food was so good.
Will definitely not be going back to the Cay Beach.

Had a fun week it Fusta and even managed to get a decent tan.
We went 'All In' and have to say that the majority of that decision was worth it, although the food was poor the first two days and we ate out instead. Not hot enough and very little choice and the breakfast was awful with greasy bacon, swimming in fat. We complained as did others and it improved vastly soon after. In fact, I think the catering staff were changed!
The beer and spirits flowed freely and the measures are large and of a good standard. The only downside was having to drink from paper cups and not glasses. I can understand that during the day, but not for the evening when the pool is closed.
The rooms are spacious, clean with plenty of utensils to cook your own food should you wish to do so and they even have a Microwave. The room had a TV but you had to pay an extra 2 Euros per day to view it, something we decided against as we were not on holiday to watch TV. Saying that, I feel the TV should be included in the price, especially when 'All In'.
Staff were friendly and most helpful where required and Abdul who works at the pool bar was excellent and only understands large measures of spirits!
Plenty of free sun loungers and brollies all day and the pool was very clean indeed, although a little on the chilly side when first getting in.

I have just returned form these apartments on a AL basis and found the apartments were very clean and well equiped if you were going SC. There are extra charges for certain things which I have listed below:
1. Safe 1.8 euro per day
2. Tv 3.0 euro per day (between 1-6 days)
Tv 2.0 euro per day (between 7-14 days)
Deposit of 6 euros of TV remote
3. Wifi 1 day=6 euro, 4 day=16 euro,
7 days=20 euro, 13days=28 euro
4. Air con 3euros per day, 12 euros deposit for remote control and rental is for all the stay, but note the air con unit is only in the bedroom!
5. Laundry 3.5 euros each of washer and dryer
6. second key a deposit of 6 euros is required
All the extras have to be paid for in cash to.
Cleaning is 5 days a week, towls are changed 2 times a week and sheets are changed once a week. Reception is open from 8 am till midnight and security services from 7 pm till 8 am.
The food is basic, but hot(mostly!) although quite bland. The puddings are basically like a kids party...Jelly, blancmange, tinned fruit, some fresh fruit, yogurt and small tubs of icecream. They don't have themed food nights are stated on some of the holiday sites. The breakfast I felt was the best out of the 3 meals. I really do thing the food needs a bit of more imagination by the chef, which I'm told is the second chef they have had since November 2009. I'm not a fussy eater but if you are you may fine it difficult to find something to eat as did my eldest son and we did eat out as did a number of the other guests on a number of occasions. The restaurant is very clean and they are quick to clean your dirty plates away etc but your not felt rushed. Drinks are all available with your meals, wine, beer, pop, juice and tea and coffee.
The staff at the apartments are brilliant, very friendly, helpful and some of them spoke 7 languages! which is good as there are alot of French, Spanish and Dutch staying at these apartments.
There are lots of sunbeds, so you should always find a couple free although they are a bit cramped together, pool is a decent size and there is a small kiddies pool. Bar area is big enough but it did start getting a bit full by the time I came back as the the complex is now fully booked and people started to queue to get served, but I did notice they had taken a couple of more staff on in the hotel on my last day. They now have evening entertainment, kiddies disco, quiz and some music, no shows or anything like that though.
The complex is close to much everytning in the resort, Sea, bars, restaurants and a few shops. I would recommend hiring a car if you can as I found I did get a little bored in caleta by the start of the 2nd week, I hired by by Ecocar and recommend them but you need to book with any of the hire places to ensure you get a car.
Around the small harbour area they cater mainly for the Germans with the Barcelo hotels, you can watch the entainment there if you wish, some in English and Spanish but as I said mainly German.
All in all we had a nice holiday, Apartments being a great, drinks are good but I hope they do offer a better choice in food in the future, but saying that I think it was good value for what I paid. Ideal if you have little kiddies, I think they would like it. I personally wouldn't go back as there wasn't enough to do in the resort for me, but if I could take these apartments and put them in another part of the country I would.
