Very dated hotel in urgent need of refurbishment, first time I've ever been to one of the canary islands and been plagued by mosquitoes. Food was very good excellent choice, but as usual with all inclusive if you didn't get it when it was coming out it was lukewarm, staff were excellent always smiling and very friendly, unfortunately the entertainment was rubbish, bingo and a quiz or a game.
One the one night that their was a group on they put a young girl behind the bar, it was her first night, she didn't know where anything was and didn't speak much English so the service was very slow.

Hotel tip: Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Poor food. Music blows your mind round pool bar. (Constant Spanish rubbish) and as for bar staff, they are OK when u can find them.
Rooms are basic but you only sleep in them. No entertainment for kids so there bored all day. The Pool was freezing. No kettles, cups, plates, knives, forks and hair dryer as described when booking (But all for hire). What a joke!

We went on a cheap holiday with an open mind. We decided to go all inclusive, but found that it was not for us, the meals were basic with poor choice and cold. The poor staff had to watch the bar, clean the tables and stock the food in the restaurant. Between meals you got a coffee in plastic cups and the snacks were only available for 1 hour per day at the pool.
There was no form of entertainment so we did not hang about for the free drinks. We were happy enough with the location as it was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and centre of the town the resort. Caleta de Fuste was good and we found plenty to do outside of the hotel.
We will be back to the island but not to this hotel and we will probably go back to self catering as the food out in the town was not that expensive, there appears to be a lot of meal and drink deals through out the resort.

Myself and my husband stayed here for 10 nights and it was the hotel from hell, the place needs to be pulled down and rebuilt.
We went self-catering but we had no kettle, one pot, one frying pan that everything stuck to, one cup, I had to get two bowls for cereal from a maid. There were loose tiles in bathroom, a switch hanging of the wall in the bedroom there was a so called pillow that measured about 10 inches and flat and stank of stale sweat and the sheets had human hair on them.
The whole place was totally disgusting, my advice is go to Fuertaventura as it is lovely but don't go to the La Tahona Gardens.

The hotel was in need of urgent refurb. it was grubby, paint was crumbling and chipped, Wooden decking unfinnished, lose and unsafe to walk on.Generally very basic. A slive socket was hanging lose! the bathroom was very dated with dirty, worn seals around thw bath. The door lock was faulty, ill fitting and the frame was cracked. The steel bedframes were dangerous and the beds felt damp. no-one to greet us at reception, drinks served in plastic glasses, wine was horrible, The food was appalling- I developed a stomach bug.Bar closed to allow staff to go and watch X factor or to go to supermarket. I booked to stay ten days but came home after two nights. it has put me off going to fuerteventura again.
