We have stayed at the Correlejo Gardens on several occasions the most recent being Jan 05.
Can't fault the place for what we need which is basically a clean appartment to stay in sited close to transport and amenities.
Being more beach lovers than poolside loungers we do not spend much time during the day at the appartments but whenever we bought the odd drink we found the staff very helpful.
The local mini-train stops just outside so if you regularly travel to the grand playa then this is ideal.
Tip - to get the sun on your balcony for most of the day choose a south facing appartment on the 1st or 2nd floor - it makes all the differance.

I have to say I have just had the best holiday ever, will definately go again, staff friendly, pool area small but never busy, you dont have to get up till 8.45 to get your sunbeds (any towels put on early will be taken off by staff). Apartments are just outside centre (only 5min walk) when going to centre turn right to supermarket then 2nd left its a much nicer walk.
You must go to the 11km beach we walked there and back (it takes about an hour each way) but you can get the bus or taxi, the beach is breathtaking (make sure you take a boogy board, plenty of water and your glasses there are some nudist).
I still havent got over the camel ride(not for the faint hearted)

We visited the hotel sometime ago and I must disagree with other reports.
There are 2 pools surrounded on all sides by the 3 story hotel this means that you need to shift 2 or 3 times a day to stay in the sun as the shadows are cast acroos the pool area, by about 5pm the sun is climbing the walls and you are in cold breezy shadow.
There is a small playground for the children which you need to supervise, but they will soon tire of this and there is little else for them. There is a games room in the basement under the cafe/bar. give them plenty of change!
On the plus side there is a large well equipped gym.If I stayed there again I would sleep there and be out all day.
