Rooms in Main Hotel have more breeze and sea view. They are also closer to the main facilities
Didn't bother with the themed restaurant, the normal one was excellent.

The resort is small but there are plenty of Fish resturaunts and bars.It is 20 minutes by ferry to Lanzarote, and there is a small local ferry to a the closer Island of Lobos (take plenty of water here) a nice island to walk around and snorkel in the lagoon.
The buses are cheap and a trip across the Island to Costillo is well worth it before it gets to developed.
There are plenty of water sports in and near this resort and dozens of Surf Schools.

There are soome lovely restaurants if you explore some of the quieter streets, away from the very busy main street. The entertainment in music square can make up for the sometimes average food, particularly the 'fire dancers'. The small live music venues are great! We particularly enjoyed the Rock Island Bar and Imagine. Hiring Trikes from Whereabouts is a must! It's a great way to see the island.

Corralejo has a small harbour area where ferries travel to and from Lanzarote in about 25 Min's, well worth the trip, and it is also a local fishing centre.
The whole town is very clean and has several good quality small beaches near to the harbour which lead eventually to the main sand dunes beach which is superb and is around 8 km. long and 3 km. deep and a mecca for water sports or for finding isolation.
From the harbour area and its restaurant square, runs a lengthy busy main High St with a lot of shops, all types and continues up to the new BAKU entertainment centre, water park, golf, adventure playground etc.
Nightlife at present is limited to a few bars and small nightclubs, some of the hotels have there own shows often open to non residents.

The resort is beautiful to look at and is kept looking very clean and tidy, Look for the banana trees?, If you fancy venturing from the hotel there is a sports bar called the racing post just round the corner. We had fun in there. We saw the beach but didnt manage to go. It looked out of this world.

The streets and surrounding areas put the UK to shame with there cleanliness, they are constantly swept and rubbish is not left lying about.
We ventured into town in daylight ours as by the evening we sat and relaxed in the hotel bar.
But there is always something going on.

The area we actually stayed in was a bit quite but there was a market near by and also the water park. 35/40 minutes walk was the town centre, but you could also get a taxi for 2.50 euro's which is nothing.

Corralejo was OK, but nothing to write home about.
There wasn't anything perticulally wrong, but nothing really right either. It's ok if you don't want to do anything except lounge on the beach and check out a few tourist shops.

The Spanish appear to love their dogs - although they are not so keen on cleaning up after them!
A must is a visit to Flag Beach and the dunes. Beware of the beach snack bar and check your bill carefully as they add things on you haven't had.
Another good day out is Oasis Park. The camel safari is recommended and the DVD of your trip is a must. Sealion show, crocodile show, bird of prey show and parrot show inlcuded in the price as well as zoo. Children loved the fact that they actually get to touch some of the more exotic animals.
The resort offers plenty for everyone - from quiet bars to lively ones with live music, hundreds of restaurants and shops.

Correlejo was once an average fishing port but now being overtaken by massive developements of appartment complexes/hotels, many of these seem to have been abandoned mid construction, even one big hotel complex left derelict. One main drag with your usual trinket shops plus duty free items.
Plenty of chinese/indian etc restaurants by the looks of it plus the usual Brit/Irish pubs/bars/discos. Distinct lack of what I would call local cuisine nice family run establishments.
Beaches down at the Rui Hotel at Oliva Playa were fantastic and clean, the water warm and clear. Some areas further away from hotel are for the more open minded.
Correlejo seems to be expanding very quickly, I have no doubt it is going to end up as a mecca for your typical 18-30 type drink/dance all night sleep all day British holiday maker.

We knew this was a quiet resort with limited entertainment etc.
The people are really very friendly and helpful, and there are some bars with music, but it does go quiet at around middnight wich was ok with us.
Having never visited this island before we had an open mind about things,we were not impressed with the lay out of the area, standars need to be raised and money spent to make the place look and feel more up market.
