Rooms in Main Hotel have more breeze and sea view. They are also closer to the main facilities
Didn't bother with the themed restaurant, the normal one was excellent.

Try for pool view room. Some of the ground floor apartments at the rear of the complex didn't get any sun.

Not a 10 minute walk brings you to the start of the main street which is where most things are. Don Camillo's restaurant was lovely, fast service, reasonably priced, we went there 3 times.
Alot of restaurants to chose from, but didn't venture to many as with 3 kids, all they really wanted was chips, chips and more chips, with chicken nuggets. Not many bars. I went with a 20 year old and a 19 year old and they were bored stupid at night.
Waterpark was excellent. A bit pricey, but coming from someone who doesn't even swim, even I enjoyed going on some of the slides. Beware when hiring the boats/rings. Our first time going there I hired a boat, which seats 2, thought we would get better value. However, you can only use this on the dark cave. A normal ring has to be used on the other big yellow slide. Prices are 2.50 euro for the ring and 4.50 for the boat, with a 5 euro deposit for each, which is returned at the end of the day. Hold on to the rings though as some people don't realise you have to hire them and just take the one you have. Kids have to be a certain height to go on the slides. Armbands must be worn by ALL children, whether they can swim or not, on all slides except the to narrow yellow ones. You will not be allowed down these with armbands. Water to about armpit level at the end of the slides. 2.50euro to hire the sunbed for the day.
As you are going to Corralejo from the airport you pass by the beach, we went there one day and presumed (mistakingly) that there would be some sort of refreshment stand there. We were lucky to have brought some water with us, we were parched, no food either. We lasted 2 hours, couldn't go in the water as you have to be very strong swimmers.
If going to Lanzarote for the day, walk or taxi to the ferry port. Book there with Fred Olsen, 37euro for adult 18euro for a child return. A free bus picks you up from the ferry in Lanzarote and brings you to Puerto Del Carmen. It drops you at a bus stop just up from a large shopping centre. Beware that you are actually picked up at this shopping centre to go back to the ferry. Not at the bus stop where you are dropped off. We made this mistake and ended up paying 30euro to get a taxi back to the ferry. To enjoy Lanzarote you really need to get the early ferry and get the 2nd last one back. I say 2nd last one, just in case there are any problems with that one, at least you know there is one more to go. Crossing only takes 20 minutes.
Weather - we had fantastic weather during our two weeks. Don't be fooled by the slight breeze during the day. We used factor 50 on the kids on the first day, re-applying every 45 minutes and they still burned. The breeze at night can make it feel a bit cooler. Also, if you do take a trip over to Lanzarote bring plenty of water to drink and cover up the kids. Eventhough the temperature was the same, without the breeze on Lanzarote, the heat was unbearable. 2 of the kids nearly collapsed.

This resort is different to many other resorts we'd stayed in. Not in a bad way though!
It’s quite enough but there are loads of pubs, bars and restaurants around.
Mainly live music and TV played in the pubs.
One nightclub down by the beach, which close's late!
Beach's are magnificent, the best I have ever seen. Beaches are incredibly clean aswell.
There are plenty of chemist's, ATM machines, supermarkets and other amenities around also.
Not the place to go if you want a mad holiday but just enough entertainment for a chilled out 2 week holiday!

The resort was spotless, no litter on the streets at all. We did get a bit irritated by the amount of people who try and persuade you to eat in their resturant but they were polite when we said no and we never felt harassed. One resturant we loved was the El Rincon Perico just around the old town square. The food was great and the staff superb, we ate there nearly every night!
A short bus ride away is flag beach, the sands are like desert dunes and are so beautiful.Only downside is the wind which can leave you sandblasted and cover your belongings in a matter of minutes. It is a surfers paradise because of this and the currents can be strong.
Wakiki beach and the town beach are close to the hotel and are just as nice.
Entertainment was great, not too 18-30 and you could either sit and listen to a live band at the Rock Cafe or join in at Flicks kareoke bar. Places stay open mainly until 2am but a few places keep going until 6am such as Buddhas nightclub.

Quiet and windy!
Didn't need to venture out too much from the hotel complex but when we did found it very clean, friendly and inviting.
Beaches were beautiful, although don't like sand myself - looked stunning.
Definatly go back....just say the word!

In general the resort is fairly quiet and more suited to couples and familes and those who are looking for a relaxing holiday, the beaches are beautiful!
It also has plenty of bars, resturants and arcades for your night entertainment, I have visted this resort twice now and would come again in the near future

My first trip to the Canaries in summer and with children. The weather was sunny but very windy . It felt quite chilly in the shade and the pool was cold.
I thought Correlejo was a shabby, dingy resort with no charm whatsoever. There is no proper promenade; the main restaurants are all along a scruffy main street. The town beach is very small and unappealing, I have rated the beach as 5 star because of the out of town beach. I cannot work out why a holiday resort has been developed here?
The best bit is the beach along the sand dunes a few miles out of town. I’m told they won’t develop along the dunes for ecological reasons, although there are 2 large RIU hotels there, which the local government wants demolished to preserve the dunes.
The Baku water park is lovely well laid out water park with lots of variety. The constant strong wind however made it feel rather chilly.
The beach at the sand dunes was out of this world and the best I have ever been to. Miles of white sand,( perfect sand castle sand), and clean . The waves were fun and we all got into body boarding.Lots of people had those little tents that serve as both sunshade and windbreak, definately worth taking one.
A good word for the Crazy Frog photographers who you will see around. Took a lot of trouble to get some good pictures which you can view on screen later in town. No pressure whatsoever to buy. Prints cost about 5 E
Restaurants
Poco Loco - 3 of us enjoyed our meal. I would happily have gone back. They let children choose from the adult menu for half price. But my son ordered spare ribs and was served belly pork so he refused to go again
La Terraza – near Poco Loco. This was cheaper and we went there as it had a good mention on this website. However my fillet steak was actually rump, I expect that’s why it’s cheaper. Portions a bit small if you don’t have starters.
There is a newish centre called the Plaza with a sports bar; and Italian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican and a Steak House.
Slow Boat 2- the best Chinese food I’ve had in ages. You can also choose from the Mexican menu here if one of your party doesn’t fancy Chinese.
La Cantina - this was run by the same Chinese as Slow Boat 2. We ate there 3 times because the children loved the mini fajitas. The food was consistently good though not spicy enough for me.
Slow Boat1- this was a buffet. The food was luke warm and it was very cramped at both the tables and the buffet.
Tiffany’s- one of the few places to eat near Oasis Papagayo. I ordered Lamb shanks which were reheated, dried up and tough. My son ordered Chicken Kiev, which wasn’t cooked through. My other son ordered a child’s portion of spare ribs which would have fed an adult and was delicious. My husband ordered a curry and got a very small portion. We found out when we got the bill they don’t take credit cards, so even if the food had been perfect we would not have gone back.
Café Correlejo – near Tiffanies. Good basic canteen style food. They don’t take credit cards.

A couple of small beaches in the town area, a bit rocky though, small fish at the beach close to the dock.
Plenty of places to eat loads of chinese buffets eat as much as you want style advise to catch a taxi there or melt on the 20 minute walk.

Its a shame that the holiday was ruined by our apartment being burgled and we would not go again, because Correlejo is a nice resort. Advice would be, even if you do not like staying in hotels (like me), to definatley stay in one. With all the stories of crime, a hotel would make you feel far more secure and safe.
The beaches in the centre of correlejo are ok, about 6/10. but the beach just outside (flag beach) is amazing. pure white sands and clear sea.
Correlejo though was very expensive both to eat out, and even buying in food and drink for you appartment. Resturaunt service is usually very fast, (although 'di napoli' we waited over an hour for our starters) but fast service does not always mean good service.
Nightlife is very good, especially at 'imagine bar', where a dutch man plays live acoustic music to your request of song. He was absalutely brilliant and I would strongly advise for any visitor to go to this bar!
