A charming hotel with very friendly staff. Set in gardens away from the small village.
All facilities are hotel based with no bars or restaurants nearby but the bus service into Funchal is cheaps and runs until midnight. Funchal is a lovely clean place with the usual bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.
The hotel has polished wooden floors and antiques to public areas so is more suited to couples looking for a relaxing stay in quiet surroundings.
