We stayed in the Corona Blanca in a ground floor apartment, we arrived at night time and the music was pumping from the club directly behind the hotel until 3-4 am, this continued all holiday, thow Direct Holidays say this is a family hotel.
When we arrived the receptionist give us our key and left us to find the room on our own as his English was poor he just looked at us puzzled when asked for directions.
By a few days we soon realised we were living in cockroach hell, they were in the beds and everything, you had to check your shoes before you put them on.Over the space of the 10 days we spent in this ground floor studio my husband killed 16 cockroaches and we found over another 20 which randomly turned up dead in places.
We finally got moved to the 4th floor and didn't see another cockroach in the apartment for the last 4 days of the holiday.
On the last day we had to have our key returned for 12 which is fair enough but we were not flying out to later in the evening and we asked for a room for half an hour in the evening to get the family ready including our 6 months old baby, we were told no and were left with no option but to get showered in the pool showers and changed in the pool toilets, not very pleasant.
The hotel is handy to everything and was pleasant and relaxed pity about the staff and the cockroach problem.
Also some of the Irish seem to find it quite fine and there are large numbers walking home at 2am or later singing songs glorifying the I R A. I found it quite sickening having it shoved down your throat.

A family group are just back from Corona Blanca and it is one of the nicest complexes we have stayed in the apartments are so clean and fresh , they are in an excellent location near to all the nitelife and restaurants.
The staff are so friendly and courteous and only too willing to help you if they can. The pool area is spotless and every Saturday they give the place a great clean down, the pool bar is very good value and great for a late afternoon shandy to help you cool down.
The Corona Blanca also has a lovely cafe called Cafe de Paris attached to it that has a delicious selection of cakes and coffees.

We had a really good relaxing week at this hotel.
The apartments are a nice size with 1 bedroom with twin beds, and a sofa bed in the lounge that extends to a double bed .
The maids came in every day except Tuesday, changed the towels and the bedding regularly.
The View we got from our shower ( room 408 ) was amazing.
The pool was lovely , a bit cold my daughter said but ok once your in .
Only a few families stopping there in February. but my daughter found some friends the same age as herself so she was happy.
No entertainment at this hotel, day or night, but its so close to the centre of the resort we went out every night.
Would definitely visit again and recommend this hotel
