the streets in san agustin were very dirty and there was a pungent smell in the air day and night. the beach was located down hundreds of steps and was very small to say the least (ive seen bigger sandpits). the shops were very limited to a couple of souvenir shops and a very expensive spar shop. local people treated the english like a piece of dirt on the floor. about a 15min bus ride away was the resort of palma nova which we could not fault and spent all our time here.

the resorts cleanliness is quite clean except for the palma and palmanova. a few people dropped litter on the floor from when they had just finished a meal. the resort entertainment is extremly good and especially at night. in palmanova there is quite alot of night clubs for kids and adult. the beach standard is great compared to the beaches in america, turkey and tenerife.th beach is very very clean and the sea is always warm and sparkling. the only thing that puts me off beaches abroad is the sand. it is always boiling and you cant walk on it.

The overall cleanliness of the resort was ok but as the day went on, if you spend the day around the pool litter does start to gather. Also Much care was needed around the pool.

There was a life guard there each day but they needed to open their eyes at the set rules for jumping in around the pool. It did say no diving and jumping but they clearly stood there watching people jump in on top of old folk and very young folk. So maybe they need to keep a close eye on this subject.

The beach that we visited mostly was the beach at magaluf and cala major and they were both great. I would still come back again another time to the resort.

The resort was a good walk down a steep road with no footpaths. Dangerous if you have children. The cars seem to go to fast and are rather close to you. Then there is about 200 hundred steps to go down, which isnt bad, its comming back up them thats the problem, but you can get a taxi for about 3 euros. The beach is small but clean and safe. There is a doctors surgery and he speaks perfect english and is very helpful. But he only takes cash or travellers cheques.

Only ventured down to the resort once or twice but you could tell that it was a working town not a Holiday resort.

The resort is not very big with only a handful of restaurants and a few bars. The beach is not very big either but it is clean. If you like things a bit busier at night or during th day playa del ingles is only 5 minutes away in a taxi. San Augustin is a great place to relax. There is not much entertainment on in the resort. Some of the hotels had evening entertainment and there is also a casino in one of the hotels.

The actual resort of San Augustin is residential with a few shops and bars/restuarants, but as everything we needed was on site this didnt bother us at all, in fact we felt quite pleased as there werent lots of other people from other hotels around to invade our space.
