My partner & I stayed at the Blue Bay Hotel in mid May for 1 week. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the Hotel.
All inclusive was a first for both of us & we could not fault the food:
1. (Restaurant) Home cooked with plenty of choice at a really good quality i.e. Chicken, Pork, duck, fish etc, with top chefs & the waiting staff were great to.
2. (Pool bar) Burgers, hot dogs, Pizza, Toasties...Self service drinks too!
The rooms were clean & modern although one of the mattresses was stained. TV was payable at reception & 25 EUR for the room safe with 5 EUR back when vacating. Activities were Table tennis, Tennis, Archery, Riffle etc.
Entertainment was a bit hit & miss, Saturday, Monday & Thursday nights were the best, the bar staff are friendly but although it's all inclusive be aware that one of the barmen is very cheeky by expecting a tip every time you ask for a drink which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I happily left tips on the last night for all of them.
We didn't use the Spa or Gym but they did look nice!
Hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach & 15 mins to the square. Supermarket at the back of the Hotel with bars & restaurants also.

We checked as many reviews as we could before we went, many said " Dirty, poor etc" however in conversation with my new workmates (i have been relocated)one of them sad he and his family had stayed here twice so we went ahead and booked it.
The checking in at reception was first class,we had an apartment in block A,just around the corner from the restaraunt and piano bar.the apartment was fine twin beds, seperate bathroom (shower-no bath)living room with full kitchenette,we were on A/I but it was handy to make a coffee/tea when we woke up before breakfast.
The food was of a good standard, the A/I drinks were available from 10.30 till midnight.
There was entertainment on most nights in the indoor theatre but we never bothered with it,after our evening meal we drifted into the Piano bar and sat and relaxed till about 1.00am most evenings.
The complex has two pools, one for small children and a deeper one for competent swimmers which was very cold ( it was March).
Snacks were available for most of the day at the outside bar area ,beer, soft drinks, coffee etc were on a help yourself basis, spirits etc were served by the bar staff.
The only complaint we had was the WEATHER,it was very windy which made the temp.drop once the sun dropped,i used to wear a sweater at night.
Would we go back? no but only because of the WIND!but saying that the hotel was full of return quests.

On arriving at this hotel our first impressions were pleasing. Reception staff very helpful and all spoke good English. After being given our room keys we went to our room. Again we were not disappointed. Spacious, basic yet simple. Even though we were AI the rooms had a fridge and a kettle which was great! We had a lovely sized balcony which overlooked the pool area and pool bar.
The rooms were cleaned every day except for Sundays. Clean towels every day again except for Sunday. The sheets were changed a couple of times throughout the week as well. Rooms had a safe which we did use. It was a cost of 3 euros 30 cents a day, with a five euros deposit as well. I do think that the daily charge was a little high, especially after being abroad three weeks prior to this and only had to pay a ten euro deposit, which you got back at the end of the week. Still better to be safe than sorry.
The food was okay but not the best. It was very repetitive indeed and not always hot. One evening I had chicken breast and as I went to cut off my third piece it was raw in the middle. The salads were lovely, and the breakfasts could not be faulted, even down to having English sausage. Again there was also plenty of fresh fruit to choose from, yoghurts and breads for breakfast. We never ate in the Restaurant at lunchtimes so I cannot comment on lunchtime food. We ate at the pool bar which was hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and jacket potatoes. However though do not be put off this hotel just because we did not enjoy all of the food all of the time.
The pool was cold, but then again most pools are. The one thing I did like about this hotel was that if people went and put towels on the sunbeds in a morning, then reception would remove them and take them to reception for safe keeping!
The hotel is about a fifteen/twenty minute walk into the square at Costa Teguise. A taxi costs three euros so not allot to spend if you don’t fancy the walk. There are a couple of shops and bars within a five minute walk of the hotel. Also if you do want a taxi just ask at reception and they will call one for you. It is there within a couple of minutes.
