Do not book with alpha rooms. I am presently on holiday in a hotel that is a building sight. They have refused to help saying firstly it’s the hotel’s responsibility and then secondly a travel company who I have never heard of that they work for. Nobody told me prior to the trip about the renovation work. The hotel is virtually empty. Hotel reception lady is unhelpful. I have never been treated so badly!!

We booked this holiday with Yourholidays.com, , the price was excellent and the service we received from both the Sales and Admin teams was efficient and friendly at all times. I would highly recommend this company. The hotel was also great, the rooms are bungalow style with a separate living area. Our bungalow had great views of the hotel pool. The food at the hotel was of a good standard with a variation of choice. The hotel staff were friendly and the entertainment was also good. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Playa Blanca, which has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants along the sea front. Overall great stay

The room was very spacious with a lovely terraced area. It was clean but not 4* quality, in need of updating. The doors and windows on the room did not fit properly and you could see outside and in places fit your fingers through the gaps. We did complain and the manager was very helpful. He showed us another 4 rooms but to be honest all the rooms we saw were the same.
The hotel is situated on a quiet road with an approx 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. The main beach is approx 30 minutes away along a pretty paved coastal walkway. The food at the hotel is very samey but although I have 2 fussy eaters there was never a day they could find nothing to eat. Most staff were very friendly but the odd one or two were a bit less friendly depending on your nationality. However, many of the guests queuing at the bar were less than polite so maybe the bar staff were justified to behave the same way. We had no problem getting more than one drink at the bar and please and thank you go a long way!
We paid a very reasonable amount for 10 nights at this hotel and although I did not feel it was 4*, We didn’t pay 4* prices so no complaints. We would visit again. The most impressive part of the hotel is the pool area. It is very spacious and well designed with heaps of beds and none of the silly running down at 5am to put a towel down. Any time of the day we turned up at the pool we managed to get a bed. The pools themselves are lovely with a sloping edge so if you don’t feel brave enough to go in you can sit on the edge in the shallow water and cool down.
Entertainment not too clever but the entertainment team do try hard and work ridiculously long hours. A few of the shows were very good but a few were dire !!

Hotel kept very clean. We had rain during our visit, and this made tiles very slippy. Anti-slip material on slopes needs replacing. Very dangerous when wet. Even flat tiles are so shiny, you miss seeing the patches of water. Several people fell.
Food was variable, but quite cold on occasions. They need to heat food in a morning, before putting it in the counter heaters. Baked beans take a long while to heat, if put in cold, this is just an example; it happened with other food items also. The location of the hotel is not bad; about 20 minutes walk to Playa Blanca, that’s taking it steady.
On a whole we had a good holiday, but we make the best of a holiday, and try not to get into moaning. I am just giving the facts. The hotel could do with a refurbish in the bar and entertainment areas. We did see a gent having a good look round, making notes. We did say to him about the need of refurbish in some parts, and he did agree. Maybe he will improve things.

Bungalow rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of storage room. Bathroom was large and tidy. Kitchenette not really worth a mention as it’s so small, but you are there all inclusive so not really needed, although microwave for baby bottles etc if you need it. Large patio area at the back to dry towels etc, but nothing to hang items on, so a bit awkward.
No problem from insects, although we did see them about at night in the grounds.
Pool and surrounding areas were spotless, and you could usually get a couple of beds up to about 10am (with a bit of hunting and dragging them about!)
Snack bar was ok; kids had lunch often here and were more than happy with a burger or hot dog or chips. Restaurant was good most days and other days were fabulous. Chinese night, which happens a couple of nights a week was the best Chinese food I have eaten, cooked in front of you by the resident Chinese Chef.
The staff were very friendly and helpful (reception, bar, waitress, cleaners).
The Town centre is about a 15min stroll away with a small beach, the larger beach would take a good 30mins to walk to, but there is a free bus to and from the hotel I believe.
Evenings were quite breezy and the odd night people wore cardigans. However ,on a one off day it hit 53degrees (some wind blowing from the Sahara or something, took your breath away!) so you were glad of the pool and lots of shade provided around the pool bar (no cardigans required that night!)
Never really had to wait longer than a few minutes to get served at any of the bars, and in the restaurant you served yourself.
All in all a good holiday, with numerous people we spoke to whilst we were there saying they would return to this hotel as they had been impressed.

Cannot fault the accommodation, food,or staff.
Entertainment for children was good, however adult entertainment was very basic, but we cannot expect top broadway shows.
My wife and I and my older brother all enjoyed our holiday here.

We stayed in bungalows which were beautiful the pool and gardens were also very clean and lovely.
we went all inclusive the food was very cold, the same every night and the meat was un-cooked for snacks during the day was also poor ham and cheese on trays left out in the heat all day with lots of cats to sniff at it. breakfast was cold and fine if you liked last nights vegetables..
entertainment was also very poor animation team did try mainly with the adults not the kids, one of the evening animation team was more like a hooker than a kids entertainer.. wotse holiday ever will never go back
