We had some concerns after reading some of the reviews, but there was no need to worry we found the hotel to be really lovely.

Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but usual check in over here is 2pm - so we just had a wander and a bite to eat in the pool bar.

Service wasn't bad at all- and the sandwiches when they came were fine (they came toasted, which we were not expecting-but still good).

We had a Junior suite as we went with our thirteen year old daughter, we had a bedroom with the bathroom off( with a spa bath, slippers and a bath robe each) it and there was a sofa bed in the lounge area -which was really a proper bed and much better than we thought. The balcony was huge with a patio set and three sun beds! The view was fantastic, the sea was right in front of us - with a view of the pools as well.

The buffet style meals were lovely with so much to choose from! And bucks fizz for those that wanted it for breakfast.

Some of the staff did not speak much english-but enough to understand what you required, and was not a problem.

Entertainment in the evenings was alright, the tribute bands were probably the best.

We could not fault the cleanliness of the whole hotel.

Location wise, it took us about half an hour to walk to Playa Blanca from the hotel-this was a gentle walk along the promanade which is the quickest way to go.

If you catch a Taxi it will cost about 3 euros, make sure that you order it fairly early in the morning we tried to get one about 12ish and the hotel staff could not get through to the Taxi company.

Just came back from 2 weeks at the The Natura Palace, and what a beautiful place. Room looking right over the bay to Fuerteventura, beautiful!!

Hotel was luxury, rooms cleaned every day, towels changed every day. Food great, staff great. Reps good.

If anyone wants a change of scenery & food just turn right at the front gate & there are a few little restaurants and bars highly recommended.

Couldn't really fault the whole holiday apart from the odd dodgy hotel act!!!!

We went as a couple to the Natura Palace, and I must admit I was worried about how far out the hotel seemed to be from the Centre of Playa Blanca, but once we got in the hotel, we were both very very impressed.

The Reception staff were very friendly and spoke fantastic English, and a porter took our cases to our room for us, which was a nice touch after an early morning flight.

Our room was very nice, very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, the bathroom was clean and had bathrobes etc waiting for us. But the best was the balcony. We had a sea/pool view balcony, our view was just like the one from the Thomson brochure, picture perfect, it was a good size and had a table and chairs on it, and it was angled so that the people either side couldn't peer over.

The food was lovely, personally I am a very fussy eater and I managed to find something to eat every night, the seafood night went down especailly well with my partner. The pool bar was also very nice, the staff could sometimes be a little abrupt, but noting to complain about. If you tried to eat in there between 12 and 1 then obviously this is their most busy time so they will be rushed and maybe abrupt and maybe a little slow at getting to you, but we went a little later and they were fine, no problems at all.

The evening entertainment could maybe have been a little better. We ventured into the main bar one night and decided not to bother again, we would have a jug of Sangria in the Piano Bar most evenings then take another jug up to our room where we sat on our balcony enjoying the view and the peace (and the tribute act music from the bar).I think maybe the piano bar could have done with a little music, other than the violinist and the guy on the organ.

The pool area was lovely, you couldn't fault it. There are 2 pools, one is sea water, the other is normal pool water. They are a little cold, but once the midday sun is out, the cool water is very welcome!! Also, the jacuzzi was lovely and generally you could always get in it. We found that maybe if they played a little music around the pool it might have been nice, but most people have ipods etc now anyway.

Whilst reading various other reviews about the hotel, we did notice that it was a Naturist resort, which we were a little concerned about, and obviously the first thing we did when we got there was to go and see if we could find the Naturist Area, but its right around the back of the hotel and to be fair nobody seemed to use it, it is definitely not and "in you face" naturist resort. If I hadn't have read it in a review, then I woudn't have even known about it.

I would def recommend this hotel to couples of any age as long as its a chill out holiday you are looking for. Fantastic!!

Stayed in the Natura Palace for 2 weeks. We are in our early 40s and had our 14 year old son with us and 2 elderly parents in their 70s.

Hotel was excellent. Rooms superb with a big sofa bed for our son. Superb sea views. Location is quiet BUT a pleasant walk to the nearest beach and town. Taxi to town approx 3 euros.

Food was buffet style and was superb, plenty of selection, however staff seemed overworked. Dinner anytime between 7 and 9-30.

Entertainment was good on the nights where it was a musical show ie tribute bands etc however every second night was a variety acts ie jugglers acrobats etc, not our scene.

Upstairs bar was very quiet and really is just a piano bar to chill with a drink or 3.

Decor is of a very high standard

Cleanliness superb, maid service every day, clean towels etc, bedding changed twice weekly.

Plenty of sunbeds which were good quality, not the white plastic type. You did not need to go down at crack of sparrow fart to leave your towels there.

Kids activities were varied. The animation team do their best and young kids are well catered for. Teenagers probably less so although there is a football pitch, table tennis, rifle shooting, gym etc

Only criticism is that they seem understaffed, especially in the poolside bar at lunch where service was poor.

Better to go across the road at lunch and down the steps to the little bar which serves a nice pint and good food.

You must visit the Rubicon marina which is at the other end of Playa Blanca. Absolutely superb and costs 5 euros in a taxi.

We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this is one of the best.
I cannot understand why people are negative about it so dont worry!

This was our fist stay here having stayed at both the Timanfaya and Rubicon before. At this level both your expectations and concerns are escalated but it is only what should be expected from a 4 star hotel.

Negative first.

Frequently no pool towel and the staff in the pool bar were very poor. They often charged incorrectly and delivered incorrect items in often long periods of time.

Sunbeds always a problem as there were 246 when counted which is just 1 per room which can take up to 4 persons and when requested the duty man refused to enforce the no reserve rule as displayed around the pool.

Good bits.

No problems getting in the resturant with plenty of varied choice. Staff levels at a minimum.

Room service was fine and to a good level.

In summary a fine building with some irritating concerns which don't spoil your holiday but take the edge off it. My advice is stay at the Timanfaya.

We have been regular visitors to Princess Hotels in various of the Canary Islands for some years and felt that the standards have dropped in the lasy year so, we thought we would try a change. Read a glowing review of the Natura Palace on Holiday-Truth and went for it.

Standards are similar to the Princess but not really fully attained. Very comfortable, nice rooms, clean and good food standards but, attention to detail not what it should be. Finish in the room bathrooms not really up to scratch. Shower head broken, tiles not properly finished, bit of a musty smell, nothing really serious but not to the standards we would have expected.

Within the hotel in general, not enough staff on the bars in the evening. Suprisingly very little English or German spoken by any of the staff. We witnessed quite fraught staff relations at times. Again nothing serious but certainly things that we have never experienced at Princess Hotels.

Our biggest disappointment, mentioned by other guests as well was a complete lack of atmosphere in the bars and entertainment area's in the evening. No great 'Buzz' about the place. However, a relaxing week away and at least we were reminded of the great standards we had perhaps taken for granted at the Princess Hotels.

This stay at the Natura Palace was our fourth time and what a shock we got with how the service etc., had deteriorated.

The restaurant was in our view totally understaffed because at every meal time there were queue's at the entrance and when you did manage to get inside all you could see was empty tables with dirty pots on them, even whilst we were eating our meal the dirty plates from the previous course's were still on the table. Also in the restaurant the meal portions have been reduced so far that we doubt that they would satisfy a young child. We also found that quite a lot of the food on display and being served was cold.

The Bars in the hotel are supposed to operate so that there is at least one open all day until 1am. But we found that if you were out for the evening and arrived back after around 11-30pm you will most probably miss out on a nightcap because the bar staff will have locked up and gone home.

Whatever has happened to the staff is effecting the running of the hotel and at what we saw you cannot call this a Platinum Hotel or even a 4* Hotel.

As I said to start with this was our fourth visit to the Natural Place Hotel and each other visit we have been full of praise for every thing to do with the Hotel. So something must be going on and someone on the management side must know about these things.

After the week we had we have decided that no way can we return again to the Natura Palace Hotel unless we hear that things have changed for the better.

I loved this hotel. Breakfasts, Dinner and staff all excellent. But I like buffet style eating, some may not.

The room wasn't cleaned to clinical spotless standard, but we are fussy and it was fine. Room itself had everything we wanted. Bring your own kettle, iron though - but there is a hairdrier.

Hotel pools brilliant

They lend you towels and robes for the sunbeds, and you get fined if you lose them. A good side effect, was that people didn't hog the beds if they weren't really going to use them. We had not trouble getting beds when we wanted them, and the hotel was full

I gave 5 for hotel location, as it was in a quiet area, where we could chill out. However if you wanted a beach, then you would probably only give it a 2 as there isn't one. The nearest is 5-10 mins away, but its quite small.

As someone else said, it seemed to be occupied by couples whose children have left home, or those with infants.

We walked the length of Playa Blanca most days, and we agreed that anyone booking into the Natura was in with a better chance of getting a good sea view than any of the other hotels, as every room as has one. We also thought it looked the nicest, and the gardens were great.

The lounge areas of the hotel are massive, with loads of space to go and relax.

The SPA treatment my wife had at the adjoining building was excellent.

My only real complaint, is that the evening entertainment shows were held in a room where they left the main lights on, which hardly lent itself to a "show" atmosphere. But all in all , highly recommended

We specifically chose a Thomson Platinum hotel as we had heard so much about the luxurious conditions, the excellent customer service and the overall pampering that would be provided. We were severely disappointed.

The restaurant was run as a fast food cafe with plenty of choice for vegetarian and fish lovers but little to choose from for meat lovers. The meat that was provided was often over-cooked and dry. The bar service was often hit and miss and relied heavily on the new bar manager to get things organised. Often we just got a bottle of wine from the shop across the road and took it to our room, it was easier.

One of the pools was in a disgusting state, all brown and dirty, when we arrived. It was not cleaned out for a couple of days so needless to say, we gave swimming in it a miss. We had to pay 9 euros a day for the tennis court and raquets. This was extortionate compared to other hotels that we use and they were not in a very good condition.

We had looked forward to being suitcase free on our final day as the holiday was advertised as hotel check in for the airport. This service did not exist and was no different to any other hotel that we have used in the past.

It is a shame that our experience in this hotel means that we are unlikely to go "Thomson Platinum" again.
