What a great place this is! It operates as a First Choice holiday village for 6 months of the year. We have just returned home after a 2 week stay here, I was worried after reading so many negative comments but i need not have as the holiday was one of the best we have had!
We will be returning here 100%. Yes, it is up a hill, but it is only a 5 minute stroll, and the walk around the local area is awesome, the views on the walk along the shoreline around playa arena are a must see.

This is a beautiful hotel with well laid out grounds and swimming pools, there were no shortage of sun loungers.
The hotel is on several levels and is built into a hillside, all the rooms have steps up to them and there is plenty of lifts between the various levels.
The rooms are excellent. We were in F block and our room was on two floors. Downstairs was a double bed settee, dining table, 4 chairs, large flat screen TV, fridge and a shower & toilet. Upstairs we had a twin bedroom with a large flat screen TV and en-suite bathroom. The downstairs also had a Patio with a table 2 chairs and a sea view. Up stairs also had a balcony with sea view but no furniture. The rooms were well furnished and kept clean.
Entertainment was good with different acts every night.
The only thing that let the hotel down was the food. There was the usual salad ingredients and plenty of fruit and cakes but the hot food was always cold as was the plates that you put it on, this was the same at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Would we go again? Not unless the food situation was improved.

This hotel operates as a First Choice holiday village from April to the end of October.
The hotel is fairly large and built on multi levels into the hillside. Upon arrival check in was painless and the first choice reps were on hand to speed up the process.
We well given an apartment in block N which is the furthest block away from the hub / entertainment. We were whisked off in an extended golf cart without luggage, On arrival we were delighted with our allocation. Through the door was a hallway plenty big enough to store the baby's buggy, opposite was a large and well equipped bathroom. To the left and right were a large double bedroom and a large sitting room, the latter had a pull down sofa bed tables chairs and both had large flat screen TV's .Out from the living room was a balcony terrace area overlooking the small resort and out to sea.
Through patio doors from the bedroom was a small yard area ideal for keeping the kids inflatables.
Block N is in one of the quietest areas and recommended if you have small children, it’s also rite next door to the pool with the water slide.
All in all excellent accommodation that could only be improved with the addition of an iron and board.
The main buffet restaurant is below the reception are in the three storey main block, The food here was generally first class and despite the age old all-inclusive problem or repetition it keeps us well fed for our two week stay. There are several tables outside that were in high demand. We ate at 7 most nights and were able to eat alfresco watching the sunset over La Gomera island. The waiting staff were pleasant and we enjoyed a very drinkable bottle of wine with our meal every night. Meats are cooked fresh and the chefs will cook stuff well done if required.
All in all first class.
There are three all a cart restaurants that can be booked but as we travelled with a baby we didn't use them so can’t comment.
In the evening there are 4 bars available, Two under the buffet , one in the main indoor entertainment area and one at the outdoor / first choice stage. Beer is Amstel and spirits local brands, only downside was plastic glasses from the outside stage bag. During the day you can help yourself to soft drinks and beer/wine from two poolside bars. Ice cream is available all day here too.
Whilst operating as a Holiday Village you have the choice of the British I 5 Live team at the outdoor stage or the hotel run stuff indoors. We did a bit of both but found the first choice team to be far and away better than the hotel stuff.
Later in the evening after the kids stuff local acts were put on in the main show bar, unfortunately this was the only thing that let the hotel down. in two weeks we only saw one or two acts that were any good, most we so bad it was actually funny to watch.

Stayed at this hotel over half term with my partner and two sons aged 23 and 15. Asked for a sea view and high floor and that was exactly what we got. Was in block A overlooking the quiet pool. The view was gorgeous. Suites very spacious. Boys slept on the pull out bed which wasn't that comfy but they managed ok. Good air conditioning. Asked at reception for extra pillows and when we got back later that day they had put them in the room. Found staff to be very friendly and helpful. Had few ants one day and they came and sprayed the room and had no problem after that. My eldest son and I used the free spa pass and thoroughly enjoyed it. He also used the gym a few times which was free.
Food in restaurant luke warm but they have microwaves so you can warm it up. Enjoyed the food. Always plenty of choice. Desserts were especially yummy. It was my 50th birthday while we were there. I didn’t know but my son had told the lady on reception and when we went back to the room that day there was a bottle of champagne in there for me which was really nice.
Didn’t see much of the entertainment as we preferred to sit outside at night with our drinks. Good choice of all inclusive drinks. The calypso coffees were lovely too. Great that you could help yourself to beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks as it saved queuing.
Only downside we found was the lack of air conditioning in the public areas. Went into the games room one night to play pool with my son and it was so hot. Also not much to do in the area, although we did also go into Los Gigantes and Puerto Santiago which cost 3 euros in a taxi.
On the whole though we all had a fabulous week.

Just got back from Cost Los Gigantes and let me tell you this hotel is terrific. The rooms are spacious, air conditioning throughout (however main bedroom not as cool as living room but still fine). Food was amazing, couldn't fault any of it. Put on about a stone!! Entertainment wasn't up to much but the kids enjoyed it. Some was abit cheesy, but again didn't spoil our holiday. Would I go again - definately!!!

The hotel is fairly new and extremely luxurious. The roomas are suites and so are very spacious, with two lcd tvs in each one! Most rooms have seaviews.
The hotel is all inclusive with a good choice of restuarants/snack bars. The food/drink was all good quality with lots of choice and chefs cooking meat/fish to order as well as an a la carte option.
The pool areas are spacious and the grounds beautifully landscaped.
The evening entertainment brought in was poor although the hotel entertainment staff were good and worked really hard during the day.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday in a beutiful hotel and would highly recommend it.

Hotel cleanliness: Very high standard, various staff maintaining grounds, cleaning, keeping on top of it throughout each day.
Hotel food: Good choice, perhaps slightly limited for vegetarians. I have a pork allergy and didn't suffer any cross contamination at all. Deserts very nice!
Location: Lovely high views across bay and out to sea and to Los Gigantes cliffs to the right of the bay.
Distant church bells ringing on the hour from further down the resort which sounded lovely. Quiet resort centre with small black sandy beach.
Staff: Very friendly and genuinely helpful, multi-lingual, always nearby to help and refill your drinks!
Entertainment: Didn't make use of any evening entertainment as our young children were asleep by 8 o'clock each night! but the notice board featured nightly entertainment scheduled including childrens disco, shows and awards ceremonies from the days activities. We didn't hear any noise from these at all as the evening entertainment was well placed within the main hotel building which ensured that other hotel guests were not disturbed, the grounds were very quiet and peaceful each night.
