Not Good!

Rooms were big, no bath only shower, the best one I have ever had but water gets all over the place as it is a power shower.

The staff would not give you the time of day not enough of staff for a big hotel like that. The only bar open at night time had very loud music and only ever had one person serving at a time a time. The Spanish were always trying to push past you to get served, you were waiting sometimes 20 mins to get a drink. This hotel needs to get its act together.

I do not thing they want the English there as its a very Spanish place. Will I go again? Not even if they paid me its the pits.

We had some concerns about this hotel as it has mixed reviews on this and other web sites. It does need a coat of paint, but it is not bad enough to pose a health hazard.

The rooms were a good size, cleaned every day with fresh towels.

Two great swimming pools, good depth and size, also smaller one for children.

The food was good, well presented with a wide choice. A lot of it was cooked in the Spanish style, olive oil and garlic (surprise, surprise). We were prepared to eat out but ate in the hotel every evening, the restaurants in Roquetas aren't anything special. Particularly good were the coleslaw, salads, chocolate mousse and eclair-type pastries.

The staff were pleasant and helpful enough, but in hotels of this size they do not have the time to be as friendly as staff in smaller hotels. The bar with the stream running through it was open on the last two days as it was too windy to sit outside, this and the reception area were very relaxing places to sit.

The only fault was the noise, the constant thump, thump, thumping music. Two fellow guests asked to be moved, as their room overlooked the "entertainment" area. They were informed the the British guests were confined to this particular block because of fire regulations. However, by the end of the holiday we barely noticed the music (or perhaps we had gone deaf!).

We stayed half board in large rooms which were excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms was super.

At first sight the hotel had a lot of potential with 4 bars including a beautiful conservatory style bar, we discovered that this bar hardly ever opened. Two other bars didn't open at all and the pool bar was the only place to obtain a drink.

Lights out in the public areas was 1am (we felt like naughty school children if we came in late). There was nowhere to sit and relax and chat with friends other than in our hotel rooms.

The food was cooked in the Spanish style and choice was very poor and at times it was hard to determine what type of meat was being offered. Queues for the dining room were horrendous. There was a large influx of Spanish people Monday to Friday and it could take up to 20 minutes just to get into the dining room at breakfast. No snacks available at the pool side bar so you need to go at lunch time if you want to eat.

There are 2 beautiful pools but they were both extremely deep and as a non swimmer I didn't feel confident in them.

Staff were unfriendly and appeared to be harrassed all the time. We won't be returning!

Had the terrible misfortune to have a seriously delayed flight (AGAIN with airtours) and were taken back to Trinidad for a meal.

It was truly awful food and choice despite the staff doing their best to cope - met a number of people who said this was not a one off and they had just chips and toast all week and ate out.

It was unclean not masked by dinghy lighting and the downstairs toilets were terrible in the foyer.

I can't imagine why the Spanish like this place -it must be incredibly cheap to them.

The hotel is awful inside and out - never three stars in a million years avoid like the plague - shabby.

We stayed half-board for 1 week & we were a bit worried about what to expect but everything was great. The room was clean & spacious, there was plenty to choose from when it came to the food & our children were more than happy with what was on offer for them!

First impresion was that we had struck lucky but we were wrong. The food was awful, not catering for the English and for children. The entertainment was the same each night and that was for the spanish holiday makers as we were informed that thay use the hotel alot as they get a discount. A situation arose on our 3rd evening concerning the safety of our 10 year old daughter which involved the police, our rep was great but the hotel staff were unhelpful and rude. This led to the police having to take a restraining order out against somebody who enters that hotel each and every day and hangs around the games area were the children play. The situation we found ourselves in was horrific and all we would say is that if you want a safe place for your children then DO NOT GO HERE. This matter is being dealt with by airtours who have been very helpful and understanding.

We were worried by reports elsewhere that the hotel was either shabby or run-down, or that he food was bad. However, we found a few scruffy bits but hardly enough to bother anyone but the most fussy.

The food was GREAT - lots of choice although not cordon bleu, it was good and varied. Usually 3 or 4 main dishes - pork, beef, fish, pasta/paella - plus "kiddy" things like sausages, nuggets, and chips. The salads were lovely and each night there was a HUGE paella/pasta special plus another special like smoked salmon, that Spanish ham thingy that the Spanish go mad for etc etc.

The restaurant was a bit noisy and chaotic - mainly because of the Spanish kids! Around 80% of the guests were Spanish as this is a VERY Spanish resort.

Hey! It's a family holiday place! If you dont want a family holiday dont go there!

The 2 pools were lovely - a bar at each, restful and relaxing surrounds and the LOCATION - RIGHT NEXT TO THE BEACH!

Absolutely recommend it to anyone. It's at the nicest end of the resort too.
