we arrived at the hotel to a very warm welcome (late) to a very friendly and efficient girl on reception
She gave us all the details we required and directions as regards how to get to our room,we had booked the sc accommodation
On entering we were surprised how nice it was, I had booked a studio with trepidations, wanted to book a one bedroom apartment,(not available) for a little more room, but was quite happy with what we got
Spacious enough for two people, the bed was a pull down couch, also a long couch across from that
cleaning staff I found ware excellent accept for the first night
Found a bad stale Oder from the pillows sheets and towels, put this down to lack of airing prior to our arrival.same night our fridge was chugging and chugging all night but having reported this the following morning all was rectified within a couple of hours
we had a lovely view of the pool but no sun on the balcony at any time of the day even though we were out the front, felt a bit enclosed but still a lovely chill out area
Some might say the apartments are a bit dated we found them cosy happy we had not upgraded to a one bed
all the action is only around the corner on calla gerona st
great security at night time ,man on the door from midnight on.all doors locked from then on.you have to use your swipe card to get in after that.the back door to the apartments is open from 7am to 7pm,and there is a very handy little supermarket right across the road from the back gate (check out their reasonable priced wines)
the management would have to look at security during the day though ,to look after their guests as they depart as my wife's handbag was stolen in the lobby the day of our departure, as a spanish man was asking for directions, pointing here and there, as her attention was diverted someone made of with the bag and all its contents, all her jewelry, ipod, money, makeup, perfume, ray bans....etc,lot of valuable stuff even the bag cost a bob or two.
Having said all this believe it or not I would still recommend this hotel to other travellers,as we were very comfortable here.

Just returned from a week at this hotel, and really enjoyed staying there. I've wanted to try this for a while but could never get it at a price I liked, however got it for £300 half board for the week in Sept, which i thought was good.
The location is brilliant, only 3 minutes walk from the Beach. Right on the Main Shopping thoroughfare (Ave Medditerraneo), right on the edge of the Entertainment of the New Town, and only 10 mins walk to the Old Town. The Hotel is Modern having been refurbished completely last year, and is kept spotless by the staff. There is an outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, and a sauna too. The food was really very good indeed. Breakfast covered all tastes, having full English, Spanish, continental. Everything frequently replaced to keep things fresh. They even made fresh American pancakes every morning with Maple Syrup and Chocolate. They only made small batches at a time so were always fresh. The Evening meals were Excellent. Lost count of the Salad ingredients available for starters, always had Two Soups on, Cooked Meats, Different Cheeses every night, Pates, Sardines and Mussels. Three or 4 Pasta Choices every night. Two Fishes Dishes and two or Three meat dishes, including superb roast beef. Paellas were available several times and were really good. They also had the odd Chinese and Indian dishes, along with various deep fried items too. Varied there potatoes as well, Chips, Baked, Mashed, oven baked, and sauted or boiled. The desserts are the best ive had in Benidorm, in fact id say the food is the best ive had in Benidorm. Many small fresh cakes available so you can try several. Flans, Pear and Apple Crumble, Bread and butter pudding, custards, yoghurts, fresh fruits, and various cooked spainish desserts too. Wine list was good, as was the service. Very quick yet calm, used plates taken away very quickly, and tables cleaned and changed very quickly too.
All the staff were very welcoming, particularily if you tried a little Spanish. This is definately not a hotel i would reccomend though if you are a family with young children. There is no entertainment on at all, but in Benidorm its not really needed. There were not a great number of British people there when I went, Mainly Spanish, French and Dutch.
I would reccomend the Hotel to anyone who wants a Hotel in a central location, convenient for all the resort has to offer, who likes good food, in a quality, clean enviroment. Only draback for me was, i got a single room, which was quite small and didnt have a balcony. Did not bother me really because i dont spend much time in my room. I assume its only single rooms that are like that but worth checking. The room was kept spotless by the maids and the airconditioning was superb.
Would i go again...CERTAINLY YESS!!!
