We booked this hotel through Broadway Travel on the Internet and were e-mailed a hotel voucher.
On arrival at the hotel the check in was excellent, all our details were already logged on their computer and we were allocated a room on the 8th floor.
The rooms are fine. Not fabulous or extremely high standard. Just adequate. My only gripe was that the cleaners had obviously been trying to wash stains from the carpet and there were numerous wet patches which were horrible underfoot. This was just a minor irritation as everything else was spotlessly clean. There were soaps, shower gel etc provided in the bathroom and the towels were changed daily. The hairdryer is ok if you are male. I had to buy one as the standard (attached to the wall type) was just not powerful enough to dry my hair how I wanted it (Vanity - I know) The rooms were cleaned every day and the cleaning staff were extremely pleasant and friendly.
The dining room was well organised, there were no queues to get in, there were always tables and there were huge amounts of staff so the tables were cleared as soon as you had finished.
For breakfast you are given a big thermos jug of coffee/tea on your table which for me was just heaven. I am a serious morning coffee drinker and it sure beat standing in a queue at the coffee machines which are standard in most of the dining rooms I have been in. The food was also of a very high standard. In fact if I had stayed here for any more than a week I could not have fitted into my clothes to come home!
You don't even need to take beach towels when staying at the Don Panco as you are given pool towels free of charge. You request these at the reception and return them after a couple of days for fresh ones. There is a sign on your way out to the pool area saying that towels on beds with nobody on them will be removed. I really wish this had been enforced as the morning sunbed ritual was carried out with military precision. Why oh Why do people insist on reserving beds then disappearing off to the market or god knows where, till lunch time before putting in an appearance on a bed which no-one has dared to move the towel from. They should have a security guard on duty monitoring this and it would soon stop. It is a stupid, selfish practice.
Anyway, the hotel is in a great position, in fact probably the best position, central to everything and best of all right next door to my absolute favourite shoe shop Montiel. Three pairs of shoes later and I was on nodding terms with the staff each time we walked past.
Finally, on our last day we had a late flight and we were given the key to an empty room to shower and change in which was just brilliant.
All-in-All a first class hotel. Maybe the bedrooms could do with a little modernisation though and it would just be perfect!!!

The Don Pancho hotel was, in my opinion, a very well run and very clean and comfortable hotel.
The hotel staff, from the receprtionists to the maids I found everyone very polite and attentive.
The food was excellent with plenty of choices, drinks and snacks were plentiful.
The pool area was excellent.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and of average size and the balcony overlooked the sea (13th floor).
I will certainly return to this hotel in the future and highly recommend it. Worth every star of its four star rating.

Very good hotel, to 5* international standard.
Few British (not cheap), excellent staff, very good menu's, no children, no smoking, no riff-raff, wide range of facilities, close to all amenities by day and night.
You just can't go wrong here.

Just returned from 1 week at Don Pancho.
This was undoubtedly the best hotel we've stayed in in Benidorm and if possible pay the extra and book.
All facilities were as promised (and more). The staff especially were excellent in every respect.
We booked flight only and directly with the hotel at http://www.don-pancho.com and saved a small fortune over Thompson's price.

The room was excellent especially for the excellent view as all rooms in the hotel have balconies facing the sea.
Regarding the hotel: Its situation and all the staff, I would only describe as excellent. After three visits to the hotel and on each visit it was my experience that the clientel was of mixed nationality with a fair number of people from the UK, mostly in the 50-70 age group and all having a lovely time.
