We have just come back from this hotel, on the 18/12/04.

The rooms of the hotel are very nice with lots of space. The beds were made every day but that was it for the cleaning.

The food was always cold and not much choice, the salad bar and the sweet trolley never changed, it was there I think till the next day. The snacks they provided were just left there all day it a wonder no one had food poisoning. The drinks on all inclusive were watered down you could taste the water in the spirits.

Raymondo on the reception was the only one who was helpful, the staff in the food hall were so ignorant they stood there chatting to each other while nearly all the guest cleaned their own plates away and this was all three meals.

The entertainment was terrible also; all I can say to anyone who has booked this hotel in the summer is good luck and pack your Imodium tablets.

Had a fantastic week at the med ben,no complaints about the cleanliness of the hotel and the food was of a standard you would expect from a 4* family orientated hotel.

We agree with comments regarding drinks ,you can sit there all night drinking and not feel any different ,but we bought our own bottle each night and topped our drinks up with that!.

Although it was a bit of a trek to both the old town and the beach. In summer this is the perfect location for both Mundomar and the aqua park (which we visited in the summer and is the best water park we have been to!)

The staff at the hotel where all very friendly with an exception to the life guard who needed to smile a little more often.

The girls on the entertainment team tried their best but unfortunately resident band Blue moon where shocking.

This hotel is lovely, it was very clean and staff were great.

The food was lovely always plenty of choice.

The entertainment lets the hotel down it was rubbish.

The hotel also has indoor pool with Jacuzzi and sauna also a gym.

Would go back to this hotel.

Little far out of town about 15 min walk.

It also has internet in lounge area.

This hotel was great for the kids, the entertainment during the day and especially evenings with the kids disco was fantastic. The animation staff Micky, Andrea, Jason and Steve all worked hard direct for the hotel and ran the entertainment side of the holiday. All 4 were marvellous with the kids and adults alike. The first choice kids rep were even better. Adelle, Leanne and Sarah all helped to give me and the wife a couple of hours peace every day.

The pool was a dream, it was the same depth (1.5 m) all the way round, with 2 sets of walk in steps which were great for the old and young alike. Drinks were available at a poolside bar. Thankfully no food is served here which keeps the poolside nice and clean, not like some hotels were the kids end up throwing rubbish and food everywhere.

The food was great, as we were all inclusive we had 3 meals a day plus snacks between meal times. We found no problem feeding the kids there was a good selection of food available at every meal time. There is show cooking at the one end of the restaurant were the chef cooks a variety of different dishes. Chips were always bang on even nicer if smothered in gravy. The wife has to have a low fat diet and found a large variety to eat salad, pasta's, meat.

The rooms were a lot bigger than we have experienced at other hotels, pull out beds for the kids instead of bunk beds were a lot better as our kids are still young.

The first week there were a lot of Spanish stopping at the hotel, which was strange at first but it makes your holiday seem a lot more "Spanish".

All the hotel staff were very courteous especially Daniel in the restaurant. Only complaint about the food was the tea, we had to buy some PG tips.

this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, our previous visit was in May and we had hoped that things would have improved since then.
They have got rid of the Queue for All Inclusive drinks but the selection of drinks available to all inclusive is VERY POOR and not very good value for money....PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SPIRITS THEY SERVE ON ALL INCLUSIVE ARE ONLY 24% PROOF.
in the brochures this hotel boasts 3 bars, this is untrue, they have a pool bar open 10.00am till 6.00 pm and one main bar, the third bar is only used for private functions i.e weddings/seminars ect and Be Warned they allow these functions to go on until 5.00 AM and if you are unlucky ( as we were) our room was located directly above this function room and the Wedding did not finish until 5.00 am with fireworks thrown in directly under our balcony.to top it all off we then had the cleaners dragging tables over the patio area to clear up......
Dispite assurances from the Hotel and a letter from Steve(who has been promoted to Manager)confirming parties will finish at 1.00 am this did not happen..

2 days after receiving the letter they had another party until 2.30 am

This hotel should get there priorities right...Holiday makers or private functions you cannot compromise one for the other and I was informed by staff at the hotel that the private functions make approx

New very clean and well presented hotel. Please beaware the the food in this hotel is appaling at best dangerous at worst. The head waiter is probably the most arrogant person i have ever met, unfortunately he has nothing to be arrogant about.he is very rude and quite clearly does not know what he is supposed to be doing.

the bar area is nice there is a show every night with live music 6 nights coupled with mini disco and kids game all run by Steve and his team.

I would go back to this hotel if they sorted out the food and the head waiter

The hotel itself is very modern and the pool and pool sun beds are very good, the only problem was that on some afternoons the music was quite loud.
The rooms are quit large and the air conditioning was very good.Although the beds were made everyday the room was not cleaned every day.
With the exception of the reception staff who were very helpful and friendly, the rest of the staff were ignorant,in particular in the restaurant.
The food was on the whole poor with little change between meals, the salad was nearly always the same and the sweet selection was poor. The food was always lukewarm, its a wonder no one has had food poisoning here.
The entertainment was poor, ther were three dous on over the week we were there, all equally as bad as the other.
The spirits in the bar were terrible, you could drink all night and not feel as though you had been drinking.
The rep. was not very helpful and she thought that everything was alright with the hotel.
In conconclusion this hotel is not of a very high standard and should only be rated as a 2/3 star hotel.

What a wonderfull hotel, really clean and well presented.Although it states that its a first choice exclusive thats not entirely true as you get lots of spanish nationals there, but saying that it was great. Food of excellent standard, something for everyone's taste.
Entertainment was more geared to the kids, but the animation team joined in and the kids had a blast.
Mundomar and aqualand are a 10 min walk away( up a steep hill) but well worth a visit and the dolphin show was great.
All in all a wonderfull time in a great hotel

We arrived at this hotel expecting the best since it has 4 stars attached to it.. We would like to say hear and now that this is in no way worthy of 4 stars..The food alone should strip this hotel of 4 stars and the bar staff are a little stand offish when it comes to the 'All Inclusive' guests.. The four foot bar everyone speaks about exists and yes, it is like standing in a 'soup kitchen' line waiting to be served.. our last night befor we came home the hotel had a wedding party in one of the function rooms, this happened to be where the kids have there disco every night so this bar had DOUBLE the amount of people lining up for a drink.. I walked up to this bar once and the barman pointed his finger towards the 4ft inclusive bar like I was some sort of sheepdog or something.. I was desperate for a pint of bitter and the only bar that had it was by the pool in a plastic glass which you expect by the pool but the main lounge area bitter was off for the two weeks I was there. The food consists of a lot of fish and chop, we even had 'Pigs Head' all chopped up in gravy!" Mmmmm ok if your into Harry Potter.. My daughter hardly ate anything, she lived on the pancakes in the morning and sweetcorn through the day.. As fore the pool it is guarded by a lifeguard and you are not allowed lilo's in this pool.. I will finish by saying that I have it on good authority that the management of this hotel one the company we travelled with out as they can't fill it and we in turn seem to be suffering for this.. As for First Choice I cannot fault them, they are doing what is a difficult job in a difficult enviroment. My daughter loved her holiday but I think that for a hotel that opened in late February, early March it is very disapointing and not worth of 4 stars only 2 i recon..

Hotel was very clean. Early am staff were out cleaning windows and cleaning the pool area.

Food was good. A good selection of fish, meat, salad and a childrens menu.

Hotel location was poor only braved the busy main roads that are around the hotel once. Once you have crossed you are grateful you survived.

We were all inclusive so it wasn't too bad as we didn't need to go out.

Hotel staff were average.

Entertainment was goo,d however not always punctual which is frustrating when a show is due to start at 22.00 and at 23.10 it still hasn't started.

All inclusive bar finishes at 23.00.

Kids reps were average.
