Location
Hotel rooms are fairly big, comfortable and clean. Food is buffet style breakfast. A good choice of cereals, bacon sausage, eggs, bread rolls fruit juices etc. Main dinner course is geared around 3 or 4 choices for eg fish, pizza, lamb cutlets or chicken. A very limited choice of only 2 vegetables but a good salad bar,.
Hotel is only suitable for adults,no facilities as such for kids for eg no play area, kids meals etc. There was evening cabaret every night from 9 to 11, which was quite good.
Location of hotel brilliant 5 minute walk to central beach, also near bus stop and all shops, restaurants etc.
We booked this hotel ourselves through the internet saved a lot of money that way, we would definately book it again.

Dinner plenty of choice but not so good if you are a veggie as salad was really the only dish.
Entertainment was very poor but plenty to do in Benidorm so no problems.
Reception staff very helpful and nice.
Indoor pool was lovely and warm.

The staff were as good as when I had been previously and spoke excellent English.
The food was excellent and the dining room staff were courteous.
The hotel is kept spotless indoors and out. My only problem was with the sun loungers which were unfortunately just white plastic and hard !
The entertainment in The Poseidon Palace is low key but if you want proper entertainment like dancing and acts these are freely.
Don't go to this hotel if you want to be amongst all British people as it does have an international client

As we approached reception to check in we were ignored as they favoured the Spanish guests, and when we were finally seen to we were told that only 1 of our 2 rooms were ready.
Determined not to let it ruin our holiday we went upto the 1 room that was ready, unpacked what we could and went out to have a look around the surroundings. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was situated just a minutes walk away from the Princesa, where we stayed 4 years ago and so knew the area fairly well.
Once the rooms were ready we found they were clean and could find little fault with them, though with 3 sharing 1 room it was a tight squeeze!
As for the hotel staff, the male staff were mostly older usually looked somewhat grumpy. They tended to look more favourably upon the Spanish guests, who massively outnumbered the English guests. The female staff were usually more friendly, with a few exceptions.
The food, if you can call it that, in the restaurant was way below standard in my opinion, more geared towards the Spanish guests, there was little variation and it was often under-cooked. It was enough to make sure you wouldn't starve, and to my knowledge nobody got ill from eating it, but I've had much better. We found a lovely Chinese about 5mins walk away, called Capital China, it's not far past the Benidorm Centre. For

The location is excellent, situated in the centre of the old and new towns. There was entertainment in the hotel every night and the pool facilities were very good.
We could not fault the food (something for everyone) From pizza and chips for the kids to fresh pate and an abundance of 'grown up' fare for the adults.
We have already booked again for the coming year we enjoyed it that much.

Entertainment is very poor in the hotel, but once again you will find much better downtown. You will find the bus service is quite good as the hotel is central and you can pick a bus up about 200mts from the hotel to take you anywhere and is very cheap to use.The cleaners are brilliant and you will find they will make a first class job of cleaning your room.

However......... we arrived at 11am after being up since 1am (flying from Newcastle) but found out we could not check in until 2pm in the afternoon, had to sit around in UK clothing until then with bags in foyer, got into room looking forward to a nice cuppa to find no tea/coffe facilities (so take a kettle), you can hire a fridge if you want cold drinks otherwise make do with warm water and pop.
