We had a wonderful holiday here we were on the 15th floor which gave the best sea view I have ever had in all my holidays abroad and an unrestricted view of about 10 miles of coastline includimg the Marina.

We spent hours just sitting on the balcony wathing the paragliders etc (Dont forget the Binoculars ).

The Hotel is a good 45min walk to the nightlife in Lavante or about 7 Euros in a Taxi.

The food was first class throughout the 10 days we were there.

The weather was perfect, over 40 degrees on a couple of days.

We will DEFINATELY go back again.

what the brochures don't tell you is that the coach drop off is at the bottom of a small but steep hill.

The hotel was nice and clean, the sea views are glorious and if you look out the landing windows at midnight you can see Terra Mittica's fireworks!

The downsides to this hotel are the area (very quiet,a couple of restaurants one pub and a couple of shops unless you want a long walk) the food, which is very bland and repetitive, the chairs in the entertainment room (after 10 minutes they get very uncomfortable) and the entertainment is pathetic!

Both day and night! The reception staff were good. This hotel also seems to be very popular with Spanish holidaymakers as the entertainment seems geared to them.

The hotel was very nice. It is an international hotel.

The food was very varied and there was always plenty of choice. However a couple we got talking to had two small children and the food was no good for them. There were a few things that kids may eat but this tended to be every other night. Food for adults though great.

Hotel itself was kept very clean indeed.

Pool area cleaned every day.

The location of the hotel was a little disappointing.

It is based in the old town (Poniente beach) and a good 15-20 minute walk into the new town (Levante beach) where the life is. Only a handful of bars open when we went in May and a couple of small shops.

The entertainment is dreadful. Cabaret nights etc which mainly catered for the Spanish. This meant for us a good walk into the new town and a taxi back most nights at around

Just got back from the Poseidon Playa in Benidorm, having arrived on the 25 sept through to 9 oct 2004. The best points about the hotel we felt was the sea view, we were on the top floor (17th) and the panoramic view was amazing!! (emailed the hotel 3 weeks before arrival to request a high floor, and they sorted it out no problem).

I highly recommend you bring or purchase some binoculars as you can see for miles!! Also, the cleanliness of the whole hotel in general was excellent, to give you an idea the lifts get a good polish every day, and the whole of the pool area gets a good mop around every morning.

Location is great for beach lovers and there is a subway looks a lot like a storm drain!!!) leading directly to it from the pool area. Great fun watching the tractors cleaning the beach at night!!

Buses run every 12 mins to the old town, good value at 0.85 cents, but beware... can get a bit crowded as they run in a circular which starts over by the hotel Gran Bali, but bus will still stop (even if it means standing as far down as the driver!!!) just remember to put you hand out to stop the bus.

Hotel staff speak good english and are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Entertainment...well what can we say... didn't bother with it much as it was geared mostly for the very many elderly spanish folk and consisted most nights of a woman and her keyboard singing 'golden oldies' (in spanish of course!!!), you are better off going up to the old town and levante for evening entertainment (Taxi from levante side costs approx 6 - 7 euro's at night, about

Stayed for 10 days in the Poseidon Playa.Room was spotlessly clean, was not told about the availability of fridges, would have been handy.Sea view from balcony on the 17th floor was fantastic.Food was good but a bit boring after the second week.Very difficult to get to the lifts after meals as the locals did tend to shove their way in and push you out of the way if possible.Entertainment was poor, mostly for the locals and so we spent most of the evenings in old Benidorm town shopping(it was cooler and easier)and sitting at the local cafes watching the world go by.The cleaniness of the hotelwas excellent, the cleaners were always working and could not be faulted.would recommend this hotel.

What the brochure fails to tell you about this hotel is that it has five busy lanes of traffic situated directly in front of it. Whilst there is an underpass which will take you to the otherside of the road (and beach area), it is not something you would wish to use at night as is very poorly lit. The brochure states that the hotel has extensive sports activities, but this is simply not true. Also the evening entertainment is very poor as is directed specifically at the very many Spanish elderly people who stay at the hotel. I personally got the feeling at this hotel that the Spanish do not like the English very much. The food again was directed towards the Spanish palate. Whilst it was good, I have eaten better food at other 3 star hotels. We went full board and asked for a packed lunch, but again this was aimed towards the Spanish and kitchen staff were unwilling to alter the packed lunch when we asked. The lunch time spread in the dining room was probably better than at evenings, which made me tend to think that the Spanish eat their main meal at lunch time. Elderly visiting this hotel need to bear in mind that the coach drops off at the bottom of the small hill in front of the hotel and they will need to carry their own luggage up. Bedrooms are basic and with three beds in ours we couldn't swing a cat.We also found at times we could not get into the pool as locals and people staying in apartments next to the hotel were also using the pool.
Plus points about this hotel are cleanliness and staff in general are helpful. Despite being infront of a busy road, it's location is good if you are looking for a quieter part of Bendidorm. Given that the hotel was also occupied by a large number of elderly Spanish it was quiet at night time.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Ten minutes walk from the old town, but public transport cheap and regular. Room was kept spotless by the best maid we've ever had, and overall the staff were helpful and pleasant. Ideal holiday for beach lovers, only 100m approx from hotel. Sea view from hotel is incredible. Would not hesitate to go back! Charley's bar as mentioned previously highly recommended. Excellent food if you're eating out for lunch, staff incredibly friendly. A chill out holiday, suitable for all the family, close enough to access nightlife if wanted. Terra Mittica, Aqualandia, and Mundomar all great days out. Not to be missed! Overall, a great holiday!

Just come back from Poseidon Playa on Tuesday 28th May. I was very impressed by the hotel. It is up a slight incline and every room has a stunning front on sea view, also there are great views from the back of the hotel of the mountains and the Terra Mitica theme park (you can even see some rides working). Staff were friendly and meals were generally of a high standard. Rooms are modern, have card keys, and have satellite tv (UK news channels) and look like they have been recently decorated, my bathroom appeared brand new, I missed the air conditioning which is switched on June 1st. You also have the option to pay around
