We have travelled via coach for 33 years, always to Blanes after falling in love with it, used to drive ourselves previously. We have travelled with numerous coach companies but mostly Harry Shaw, 4 times a year for last 3 years. This year we decided to try Siesta and were really looking forward to it after meeting up with them at Christmas in Tossa. Unfortunately the big C has stepped in and we have had to cancel our holiday. We will certainly be trying to go with Siesta again because of their prices, compared to Harry Shaw and their luxurious coaches. Harry Shaw drivers are great though especially Roy and John at Christmas to Tossa. Have actually known them for years because in the 80's and 90's we used to go camping.

Sorry I have written a review but never mentioned the hotel, we actually sat at the bar next door, which used to be called the Western Bar, and we watched the hotel built. We try to go every year to this hotel. One year we were let down by Hoverland who went bust and we could not get into this hotel at such a late stage so we ended up at the Boix Mar. We have not been back. The next year we booked early enough to go to the Beverly. Everything about it is superb, the staff, the food, the rooms, round the pool, the garden. love it love it love. Although illness has struck this summer I will be trying to go a little later after the big op.

The Hotel is at the far end of the long beach at Blanes, a 20 to 30 minute walk away from the harbour area. We were on a vaer late season break so the area around the Hotel was mostly closed or looked about to close for the winter. The Hotel was fairly quiet (as were two nearby Hotels) except at weekend when it filled up with Spanish guests.
Food was self-service and pretty good with a decent amount of choice.
There were three excellent shows whilst we were there; a Flamenco Show, a "Musicals" style show (dancing and miming)and a brilliant "Brazillian Jungle" show including fire-eating and juggling with flaming bowls (never get THAT past Health & Safety in England). Other nights had fairly lack-lustre keyboard-player/singers mostly in Spanish but pleasant enough to pass the time.
The staff were mostly really pleasant and helpful but a couple of them were quite surly and unpleasant.
I would stay here again but probably a month earlier when the immediate neighbourhood had more life to it.

Have been to this hotel with several tour operators.Hotel is at the end of the promenade at the opposite end from the town. Campers and local Spanish add to the audience for entertainment on dance nights, surperb Bar staff fast & friendly.
Local road train stops outside for journying to town or the Harbour. Nice long walk to town in the evening along the prom although late evening be prepared for a little Cockroach crunching.
Fab fresh Fish restraunt in the fishing harbour. The sister hotel down the road is a staging post foe the Cycling race "Tour of Catalonia" in the summer,(early June) exciting to watch over the televising and the race.
2nd week in October most of the supermarkets are closing for the winter, watch for sell-by dates can be 2 years out!!!

After staying in mobile homes the first 3 times we went to blanes this time we decided to try one of the hotels we had seen there. And we were glad we did. The rooms were averagely sized, and easily fit three of us in comfortably. The hotel was very clean, the food was delicious and the entertainment was excellent. Every night the bar was full as neighbouring hotel guests flocked here as the entertainment was so good. If you're staying two weeks, chances are you will catch the same entertainment a few times but nevertheless still amusing. As it rained the majority of the time we were there it was a good thing that our hotel managed to keep everyones spirits up. Perfectly located about a 1 minute crawl to the beach if you are a little hungover, this hotel is excellent and definately worth going back to.

We were staying in the mobile homes on the seista site down the road but decided to book into the hotel as it looked really nice.
Although the pool was very cold the pool area was really nice.We stayed there in the middle off August but had nearly all the pool area to ourselves.
The restaurant was clean and the food was of good standard. The bar area is lovely and we got talking to some other british families.
The location of the hotel is probably the best thing about this hotel, only a few minutes to the beach. A lovely hotel with a clean friendly atmosphere.
