This is a lovely hotel situated in a pine forest on the hillside overlooking Calella de Palafrugell. There are quite a few steps to climb and therefore I think it unsuitable for elderly or infirm. Overall I think it is best suited to couples who want to 'chill'. Quite a small pool but perfect for cooling off and there were never too many people around which made for a quiet relaxing stay.
The rooms are comfortable and the en-suite facilities excellent. Most rooms have a balcony, most with a sea view.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and there was eggs/bacon/sausage available every morning + a good selection of cold alternatives.
We had one evening meal: a special buffet evening and it was super: great value & probably the best meal we had during our fortnight.
Staff were quite formal but very professional.
Perfect accommodation probably for a more mature traveller.
We travelled through Thomson's 'Small & Friendly' brochure and this was the sort of hotel we were after.
The hotel has many repeat customers.
