We travelled the middle 2 weeks in August, and arrived after a 27 hour coach ride.
We had booked a standard 3 bedroomed apartment, but what we got was more than standard it was beautiful. Each of the Mar dor apartments are privately owned and therefore some have more than others. In ours we had a mircowave, dishwasher, and a washing machine. We walked into a lovely open plan living area, complete with tv, dvd player and stereo,a corridor off,led to 2 bedrooms and a jacuzzi bathroom and a balcony. In the corner was a spiral staircase up to a big master bedroom with private shower room, from this room you have access to a large sun terrace with BBQ and sun lougers and patio furniture.
Both outdoor areas looked out onto the large swimming pool complex that has a small baby pool and very large pool that is the same as 3 pools together most of the pool is quite shallow with just one end been deep, so plenty of room for the little ones to play.
The pool area is surrounded by lawns, where each apartment has use of 2 sun loungers, there is use of public toilets. If I were to say anything wrong about the pool area it would be just that use of lilos, balls etc is not allowed although this make for more enjoyment for the little ones.
To enter the complex there is a fob system that opens the main entrance and lifts to all floors although there are only 3 floors. Anyone with disablilities should have no problem with these apartments as all areas can be accessed by wheelchair users.
The complex is a mainly owned by private residents so seeing pets etc is quite normal. Having travelled to a number of different apartments over the years I must say that the Mar Dor is one of, if not, the best I have ever stayed in.
