We stayed at the penisular in Barcelona, nice hotel that used to be a convent. Staff are really nice, the place is cool and clean. Breakfast was great too, choclate muffins.
Only negative thing is that its a few hundred meters along a dark alley just off la ramblis.
But we had no problems, like any large city, keep your wits about you for pick pocket.
