Location
The food was not very nice at all half the time you did not know what it was! ending up living on pasta and cheese.
Location is ok although we found this hotel did not really cater for the british. We will not be going back.

Arrived at 1am and couldnt even get a drink of water, drink machines regulary broke down and was told to go buy a coffee from cafe, why should we when we are all-inclusive.food was ok but not much choice, entertainment was rubbish, spanish disco 4 nights on go, with a selection of the same 20 songs.
Rooms not cleaned to a high standard, cobwebs in bathroom and beds like camp beds, uncomfortable and very noisy when you moved, only good thing was the veiw but that had the train lines right outside, but didnt bother us too much.
Would never go back to Sorra dor or

Food was very good but it was only warm, rooms cleaned to a very high standard, reception staff was great, nice and quiet at nights, all in all a great hotel shame it closing.

Rooms "cleaned" every day with new towels provided, there was dirt and dust in the same place when we left however.
The location was excellent just over the (not busy) road and under the rail tunnel to the beach - not as bad as it sounds.
There were no rooms for us when we arrived but this was sorted very quickly and was due to an admin error, unfortunatly the rooms we had given us were at the back with a view of the next hotels wall, and the constant drumming of the non stop very noisy air con units - if you stay here make sure you get a room with a view.
We didnt see any entertainment at the hotel so cant comment.
We went to Barcelona and were warned about bag snatchers & pickpockets & having found someone going through my pockets on the underground I can vouch for the fact it does happen - so be warned.

The pool and surrounding, although not the biggest were sufficient and a real sun trap.
The waiters were always friendly and drinks prices most reasonable. In the restaurant there was always a good choice of food to pick from, sadly I'm not a greasy streaky bacon and hard egg fan at breakfast time. Hence the 4 score for the food.
Located 20 yard from the fantastic beach and fantastic sea and just as close to the Malgrat rail station,(no noise problems either from train or passengers.)ideal for visiting surrounding resorts and Barcelona.
The reception staff again very friendly and helpful, we had a problem at check in, two of our party had been over looked and had not been allocated a room, resolved within 5 Min's, and I lost my safety deposit key 2 hours before we had to leave, passports money etc still locked away, they had a company in to open my box with in 20 Min's.
Entertainment score only because we all went out early.
Overall a excellent hotel which I would gladly recommend.

The staff have always been so friendly - nothing is too much trouble, and the service is excellent.
The rooms are cleaned every morning with fresh clean towels.
The food we have always found to be very tasty, with at least 2 meat and 2 fish dishes, pasta and salad at every sitting.
I cannot comment on the entertainment except to say it is not our type of thing, but the lounge was packed to the rafters every night we were there. We preferred the 2 films shown every night.
The hotel is ideal for access to the beach and the train station.
We have only visited in May and September so cannot comment on the air conditioning - the temperature has been fine for us.

The rooms were always clean, but did lack air conditioning, as it is much needed at night.
The pool is great, but cold! The sun really only gets going around the pool from ten till about five, but there is a seperate balcony with sun loungers on overlooking the pool which is a great place to sunbathe.
The entertainment is nothing special, really mostly accommodates the elderly tourists.
The food was good, there was always a great selection and always looked fresh. Location of the hotel is great, the beach is just a minutes walk across the road, and if you want the busier bars and nightlife its only a ten minute walk away.
A word of warning though if you have children, there is not much for them to do unless there are other children about. Although they do have two films on each evening for them to watch.

Check in went without a hitch, but on finding our rooms on the 2nd floor, found out that there was a total power cut on the whole of the 2nd floor, so we just dumped the cases and headed for the bar which was still quite busy. The power came back on around 6am so it wasn't all that bad.
We found the hotel to be exceptionally clean in all areas, with clean towels being left every morning without any request.
The rooms were not that big, but were big enough, with a small balcony overlooking the pool. We didn't have air conditioning, but didn't really need it, but I suppose it would come in handy in peak season.
The food was very good with plenty of variety, apart from the deserts, which tended to be small squares of cake, or fresh melon and peaches, at both lunch and dinner. My only complaint is that it could have been hotter, especially at breakfast, where you can have full English etc, but there are microwaves if you can be bothered to wait. There are 2 dining rooms next to each other, and do tend to get busy, and we found it easier if we ate pretty soon after they had opened
The staff were always polite and friendly, and it was no bother for them to serve us whilst sunbathing by the pool, quite a way from the bar.
The entertainment was a bit of a let down, a couple of singers and dancing etc, it seemed to be almost the same every night, but we didn't stop in the hotel at nights anyway, so it wasn't really a problem.

The hotel is well situated in the sense that it is near the beach and train station. However, it is very poorly situated if you consider that it is in Malgrat.
The food at the hotel was the worst food I've ever eaten. There was a selction of salad - all pickled. There was also hot plates of unidentifiable meat stews and various undescribable substances in batter. The breakfast was more bearable and we ate that most days. We only had one luch and 2 dinners during the week we stayed as that was all we could bear. The quality of food doesn't improve greatly if you choose to eat on in Malgrat unless you like scnitzel, kebabs or pizza.
