The ME terramar was a last minute booking for us, after last minute.com had double booked us in the melia gran ...... So pleased they did (although last minute have now lost my custom, after the grief we had trying to book another hotel 2 days before our holiday) the hotel is about a 20 minute walk away from all the lovely restaurants but such a lovely straight walk along the promenade passing all the lovely villas situated on the seafront. All the staff were so friendly and polite, the hotel was absolutely immaculate, our room was superb with a Seaview, literally you couldn't get any closer, it was lovely sitting on our balcony in the morning watching all the joggers and roller skaters go past (little tip; we were offered by last minute either a Seaview room or breakfast ... I opted for Seaview, but from what we could see, all rooms were Seaview or at least partial, so breakfast at 25 euros pp would probably had been the better choice)
The hotel has a roof top bar, we were informed this was only open at the weekend, that maybe given the weather, and time of year, stunning views all along the promenade and out to sea.
Had a lovely meal in the hotel one evening on the terrace, very nice but a bit pricey. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, we will defiantly be returning - wouldn't choose this hotel though if we had children
While w were there, there was no entertainment as such, but they did have a Dj every night in the bar area - do not let this put you off, it wasn't really for dancing, go to the rooftop for that, it just gave the bar a lovely atmosphere
Our only complaint was that the hotel had a function one night, the weather wasn't good, so we didn't fancy the walk into town, unfortunately neither could we get into the restaurant, so they served us in the bar area, where the tables are low and the chairs are high, not particularly comfortable. Had we have known the hotel are happy to call you a cab, it was 7 euros to get into town!

Hotel tip: I've given 5 for location as we like a little walk
