We stayed at this hotel in Feb 2007, and were a little concerned as it was incrediblly cheap at that time of year. I think it was about 40 quid for b and b for 2 of us booked over the net.
It turnrd out to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It had just been completely refurbished ready for the season, so everything was new.
We had a room at the back, which have a view of the town rather than the sea. Although the view isnt that good these rooms are a lot quieter than those overlooking the sea, as there is a busy road. And the balcony is shaded during the day...a godsend in summer I would imagine.
There is a lounge and bar on level 6 with a fantastic patio and seaview, where you can sit all day even if the bar is closed, so we didnt miss a sea view room at all.
The breakfast was one of the best we ever had abroad, with a large choice of self service including bacon and eggs if you wanted.
Although on b and b only we did have lunch once as the restaurant is open to non residents, which was lovely...we wished we had gone half board. Which is a rare thing for us.
Although you are right on the beach, there is a small swimming pool at the back of the hotel, and a few sun loungers.
From our balcony we could see parrots collecting twigs for nesting !!
This hotel is now part of the Thompsons small and friendly brochure, but it may work out cheaper going to the hotel direct.
Either way I cant reccomend this small hotel enough and will certainly stay there again
