The Valentin Hotel is a new (two years old) hotel set in the resort of Novo Sancti Petri. The hotel has a very large and grand reception area, the reception staff are very friendly and speak a variety of languages.
The booking in is fairly quick and you are then directed to your room. We were given a floor plan and other information regarding our stay. The hotel has a small army of cleaners to keep the hotel clean and tidy but unless you like the very small hours you will hardly ever see them.
The breakfast and dinners are provided in a self service buffet style, with there being four areas in which the food is provided within the dining area. The dining area itself could probably hold around 200 people, but with clever arrangement you get the feeling of space and only notice how many other people are there when going to get food.
The food of which is varied but constant as in the hotel caters for many cultures.
There is a variety of fish, meat and cold dishes for the main meals, but these are in portions, but you are not restricted as to how many you can have.
There is a good variety of meats, cheeses and fruits for a starters, and a wide range of fruit and cakes for afters.
The hotel is the first one in the resort, if you could call it a resort, an actual view would be that it is a collection of grand hotels in a beach area. The grounds are spacious, and there are two pools, one aimed at the old and one for the more active. There were daily activities of archery, shooting, french bowls, water polo and volleyball. The nightly acts were, it seemed, to be a regional act of a good quality.
The beach is just a five minute walk away and there are beach bars available for food and drinks.
Overall, this would be a hotel for a quiet get away from it all holiday but with a few activities / entertainment if you wanted it.
