We just made our second visit to this hotel.
It was certainly pool weather on this visit and when we used it we found it to be very clean, it was about 4pm when we used it and it still had the sun on it. We saw it being cleaned (and the poolside being mopped) each day as we were having breakfast.
All the staff were really good, there was no banging of plates in the restaurant this time and tables were set ready to use, so definitely 5 star.
The location of the hotel really is good as just across the road is the beach, it is a fair way from the marina but it's not such a bad walk as it is fairly level. busses (L2 and 124) stop just outside the hotel that go to Arroyo de la Miel or Benalmadena pueblo.
Sadly not only did we consider the food to still be poor, the coffee at breakfast was so bad we went to the supermarket to buy a jar and then made our own.

Nice Hotel, shame about the food.
A nice, clean hotel, in a good location handy for the buses to Arroyo and Pueblo. The staff would have been 5 star if it hadn't been for the waiter(s) who persisted in loudly banging plates against the bins rather than quietly scraping them clean, though they all were friendly and very helpful.
None of the tables were set, it was just a case of find an empty one and collect cutlery, glasses etc, yourself.
I was disappointed with the salad selection, as beetroot, which I particularly like, was only available on one of the three nights we were there.
What I thought to be a vegetable ratatouille (there were no descriptions of the various dishes) contained some fish and large amounts of fish bones which I hadn't noticed in the thick tomato sauce; my first mouthful was an unpleasant shock. The Gammon steaks weren't too bad, boiled potatoes and vegetables were good. If you want desert or a particular fresh fruit then get it before your main course as it appeared that once they were gone they were gone. The cooked breakfast was all luke warm but microwaves were there should you wish to use them.
The pool area looked clean and seemed to have the sun for most of the day. Our room was on the front left corner on the third floor, which gave us a pool and a sea view, probably most of the rooms on the left of this hotel from the second floor up would have a similar view. Maids were friendly and helpful, if we were in our room when they came round they would come back later in the day when we were out to clean (and tidy)our room.
We would return to this hotel.

We visited just after easter, the majority of the guests were Spainish which didn`t bother us.We went on a family holiday and only used the hotel as a base, our son was the only child in the hotel but we were made to feel welcome.
The hotel is spotless, rooms cleaned everyday. We had a good size room, plenty of warbrobe space, a good size bathroom with a large bath, bliss after a long day exploring the sights. The rooms were nicely furnished(better than some 4 stars).
Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Evening meal was good but I struggled on a couple of nights because I can be a bit picky with meat but for the meat eaters it is ideal. Desert were typicaly Spainish. Very reasonable priced jugs of wine to wash it down with.
The locaion was good, close to Paloma park and a 15 min walk to the marina. A few bars close by and a Mcdonalds.
The staff were pleasant, especialy the ones in the dining room, making a fuss of our son.
We didn`t go to the entertainment as it was for the Spainish, wich was only fair since they were the majority. I suppose in the summer it will be more focused on families. There is a nice pool and grounds but pool was too cold at Easter(which we expected.)
I would visit this hotel again, if you want evening sun (great in winter) ask for a pool view room. We had one and it was great we got the sun until 8 pm.
