Pleasant stay with friendly staff
We stayed in this hotel for three nights in November 2011 and found it to be very pleasant, nicely decorated and furnished, clean and in a good location. The staff were efficient and helpful.

We were in room 121 which is above the bar but at this time of year there was no noise and the bar closed before we returned in the early hours. The room was adequatley sized for two people and the beds were comfortable, the maids came in daily to clean and tidy.
The room faced onto the street and had the largest balcony I've ever seen as it was part of the bar roof and it was two rooms long as there is no adjoining room on one side, it was furnished with a table a chair and a sun lounger, there was a nice view straight down the tree lined street opposite right down to the sea.

The food was fine but could have been warmer, there were two meat choices as well as lasagne, fish and a salad selection. The soups were nice, desert was fruit, ice cream and cold custards. Breakfast was the usual selection of english and continental, the all important coffee was drinkable. Twice I did an Oliver and asked for more, on one occasion there were no peaches left for desert and on the other there was just one rubbery looking fried egg left when I went down for breakfast, both times more was brought out with no fuss.

We went on the roof for a nosey although the pool was closed and drained, the area looked ok with tables, chairs and loungers all around and imitation grass on the floor. the pool is small and is limited to approx eight people, the view from the roof towards the mountains is nice.

Turn right out of the hotel and at the first junction take the left of the two roads and it's less than a five minute fairly level walk to the pleasant beach, it's a ten minute walk to the Balcon de Europa once you figure out the route and stop calling in several tapas bars. There are numerous tapas bars and shops within the area of the hotel, tutti frutti square (the nightlife during the summer) is 100 yards away.

We would visit this hotel again.

We stayed at the Jimesol Hotel in Nerja. The room was clean but really unpleasant. We had no balcony and the small window looked out on to a white wall with a broken pipe running down it.

The food was awful and although we paid for half board we ate out most of the time.

The sun terrace was dirty and there was no bar or drinks machine. The Bar and lounge area were nice, as were all the staff. There were no safety deposit boxes in the room so if you wanted to secure any valuables or money you had to pay to use a box which was kept at reception.

The hotel spoilt our holiday. We wouldn't go back.

The hotel was very clean and located close to the shops and bars the rooftop area is quiet yet could be cleaner the plunge pool is small and only for use for as a cool down, We were one of the lucky ones in having a balcony if you could say that as we only had a wall to look at. On the roof thier was a drinks machine that did not work even after i asked if it could be fixed i still had to go down three flights of stairs to the bar for a drink in the end i went to the shops for water as it was easier,The staff were pleasant and helpful.
As for the food it was terrible and there was very little choice although by the end of the week this did improve a little.
Would we go again NO.

As the brochure states this a small hotel in the middle of the town centre of Nerja.
If you are looking for a beach side hotel then this is not for you.
There is a small rooftop where you can relax and sunbathe and a very very small pool where you can cool off.
I was in a room at the back of the hotel and found no noise from the road out side however I would say that you might encounter some noise from a busy road in peak season should you have a room facing on to the road.
The hotel is very central for all shops, bars, shingle beach,(there are other sandy beaches further away).

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very pleasantly furnished in a local style

The food I found to be more varied than in some hotels i've been in and was prepared to a good standard.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel had a good feel to it.

If you are looking for lively party atmosphere then this is not for you.

The hotel in my opinion would suit someone looking for
a central location in a town more Spanish than others on the Costa del Sol.
If you like walking ,riding or exploring the surrounding countryside and shoreline and enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle then this may be for you.

The hotel is situated in the town centre with shops ,bars, and retaurants next to and across the road from the hotel.
The road outside the main enterance can be quite busy and noisy and the rooms facing in this direction may be subject to this noise.
Rooms to the rear face on to a quiet road.
Not all rooms have a balcony although there is no real view to be had.
The rooms are kept very clean and are well maintained
and are of a 3* standard.
There is a small rooftop area where you can relax and sunbathe.
This area has views to to distant mountains and of the surrounding building tops.
there is a very small plunge pool that is really only used to cool off in.

The food is served buffet style and I found the food to be of a good standard and also quite varied as well,
(don't know if the menu changed if you stayed for a second week)

The staff I found to be friendly and helpful and this made the hotel feel relaxed and welcoming.

I would say that this hotel suited couples and mature singles more than for families with childen because of the lack of a swimming pool and other play areas.
A nice hotel for a relaxing break.
