We stayed just outside Marbella and I honestly can't see what all the fuss is about. There wasn't much to do at all. Puerto Banus was one street of designer shops and the rest is just scruffy. Mijas and Mijas Costa were well worth a visit as they are picture perfect tourist towns. We went from there to Gibralter, worth a couple of days if you've never been, and Benalmadena,Fuengerola and Torremolinos really need to get there act together and provide something to do that stays open in the winter. I've seen it and once is enough.
