we stayed at the don paquito for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. this hotel is really good value for money, and is more like a 4 star. we stayed in aroom on the first floor which was a little noisy as is faced the main room, we had 3 beds in the room fridge air con, t.v , loads of wardrobe space, the safe was good value at 3euros a night. the room and the hotel was very clean. breakfast was good with a good selection of pastries, breads and hot buffet. must say a big thankyou to patricia on the desk she was so helpfull and polite, our flight got cancelled on the return, and she sorted everything out for us checking our flight, sorted another night in the hotel, and gave us a special rate for that. the hotel is in agood spot, close to beach and a 15min walk uphill to town centre, would stay here again, we loved it.

on arrival check in at reception very friendly with no problems we asked for a triple room which we were very pleased with, however there was no balcony in this room, we requested a room with balcony which was no problem at all although the room was smaller but adequate for the week complete with tv and small fridge. the hotel was very clean and fresh towels given everyday. pool area was also spotless nothing was a problem for staff. the food itself was good and there was always something we could eat which was good as we had our 15 year old with us(fussy eater)
the food could have been hotter but it was edible hotel location 2 minutes to beach or 50 cent for lift to torrimolenos 10 min walk away. there is also a bus outside the hotel taxis can be good if 4 are sharing as it works out about quite cheap
there is no entertainment at the hotel and I would say it is better for adults as not much for young kids

This is a good quality small 3 star hotel located in the Playa Mar area about 50m from the main promanade. As a 3 star hotel it is well deserving its star status and as good as some 4 star hotels that we have stayed in. The food is well cooked but a little repetative. The resterant is small and while we were there we often had to que for a table.I thought the drinks were overpriced and we have recently paid less for drinks in 4 star hotels in the same area.A small bottle of water is 1.75

Second visit to this hotel, primarily as a one night stop off for access to Malaga airport.
Rooms allocated were facing the street. No complaints with the rooms - tidy, well maintained however a word of caution. Rooms facing the road means limited sleep opportunities!
Noise from the street (we were on 2nd floor)was constant. This has nothing to do with loud people but traffic, delivery vans, coaches picking up passengers in early hours (6am) and dustbin lorries - bins are located on both sides of the road.Be warned!
Parking was ok right outside hotel but that was just luck.
Breakfast room is bright and airy - maybe a little small during peak times.
The choice at breakfast was standard to Torrie 3 star hotels - although Don Pedro, possibly better -(love their pancakes at that hotel)
Reception pleasant and swimming pool area quiet and clean.
Yes we only paid around 55 euros, however at this time of year that is a standard price for Torrie hotels - well many of them.
Next time I shall go to yet another hotel when utilising Torrie for a night stop before proeeding to Malaga Airport.

We stayed at the Don Paquito 26-31 December. The coach dropped us at the door, unlike those at the Don Pedro who had to walk a short distance as it
