Half board is a good choice as the menus contain something for most. If you cannot find anything you like then ask the staff behind the counters and they will try and help you. My only complaint was the cutlery could have been cleaner in the 14 days I had to always look for a clean knife or fork, reckon they were putting too much into the dishwashers.

Apart from cutlery cleanliness of corridors and rooms was of a high standard the if you left towels in the bath they were changed everyday. Beds made and rooms washed down and tables tidied as well.

The location of hotel is about 1.5 Kms from Torremolinos town center but on the plus side the beach is right across the road.

Entertainment is OK but not enough professional evening shows for adults the children

We selected this hotel after a great deal of research as one member of the party is disabled (In Wheelchair).

All of the members in the party thought that the hotel was spotless clean and could not fault the meals in any way.

The fact that the hotel had a beach side location with complete access via ramps for the wheelchair meant that we were not restricted in any way and that once you were on the sea front you could walk a great distance in both directions.

The staff were very friendly and most of them spoke good English which meant that if you did have a query there was no problem getting the message over and it was quickly sorted out.

There was entertainment for both young and old every night and plenty of places to sit and have some peace and quiet.

The most important reason we had for selecting this hotel was the fact that they had a few adapted rooms for the disabled. The hotel had complete access throughout for wheelchairs and although the lifts were a bit of a squeeze it was possible to get to any floor. The specially adapted room we had was on the first floor and it looked as though the bedroom was exactly the same as the other rooms where as the bathroom was the same size but had a roll in shower with fold down seat and plenty of handrails around the toilet area. There was also a disabled toilet in the reception area which could be used when at the pool or restaurants. This meant that every one of us was able to relax and enjoy the holiday with complete independance.

I stayed at the Hotel Sol Principe in June 2005 with my boyfriend. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful and the maids always said hello when we passed them. The rooms were very spacious and had a full length mirror on the warderobes. There was plenty of space to put my clothes and my 7 pairs of shoes! My only disappointment with the room was there was no plug by the dressing table or mirror for me to plug in my hair straightners.

We were not impressed with the food however. The quality of the food was good, however, they seemed to have the same food every 2 days. We ate out a lot as we were fed up with eating the same thing, also I do not eat red meat and struggled to find suitable food to eat. Even the soups and salads had meat in them!

We used the smaller pool at the back of the hotel as it was easier to get a sunbed and there weren't as many kids in that pool. The pools were clean, although a bit cold.

The other disappointment was the hotel's location. We spent far too much money on bus/taxi fares to go out at night as we were too far from the main nightlife.

This hotel was allocated on arrival and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by high standard of this hotel. It has quality where ever you look.

Classed as a three and a half star by thomas cook but deserves four.

Restaurant is excellent with dishes to suit all tastes. Can not wait to go back again.

We Holiday on the Costa del Sol twice a year and have stayed in quite a few hotels all have been excellent, but the Sol Princple was exceptional. Location was brilliant just across from the beach and a local Bus every 15/20 mins for 95 centimoss took us into the Bus Centre in Torremolinos ( up to a certain time at night after that we had to rely on Taxis but they were cheap enough )from there we could get a Bus to any of the Tourist Attractions. Cleanliness, Food, Entertainment and Staff all above average 3 Stars do not do this Hotel the justice it deserves we would recommend it to be 4/5.

After viewing the Apartment Complex on Site we have recommended it to our Family.

We will be back in March to stay at the Hotel Sol Princple.

We went for a short break and it was perfect. The hotel is on the beach and a short walk away from the centre.

It a very well run hotel, very clean, and the food was good but i felt if we had been there longer it may have started to become a little bland.

Pool was excellent, no problem getting sun beds, although in high season it could be packed. The pool was shared with the Principito apts (they are connected) and all run on the flintstones theme.

Reception staff were very professional and I would definitely return to this hotel.

We have been to the hotel twice. The first time was wonderful but the second time was extremely scruffy with mattresses dumped everywhere it wasn't very nice for the kids.

The food was boring as the food was the same every night!!

The hotel itself was excellent but I wouldn't go back again because of the location!!!

Very impressed on first seeing this complex and when entered into hotel was not disappointed. The hotel consists of three blocks, ten floors in each with twenty rooms on each floor and three lifts in each block. The hotel was refurbished in 2001 with particular attention given to the buildings and grounds. Some improvements are still being carried out but no inconvenience to guests.

Two automatic revolving doors lead into the public areas of the hotel. Reception is on your left hand side where multi lingual staff makes you welcome. The public area is very spacious with comfortable seating in a variety of sofas, chairs nice area to relax with a coffee or tea after dinner. These areas are finished in marble which along with the air conditioning makes it cool in the heat of the day. You can keep the room for 14 euros up to 6pm or up to 7pm for 17 euros if your room is not available the luggage room is located near the reception and has a security person inside and a courtesy room will be given to you to let you freshen up for your journey.

Room.

No keys but electronic locking system used. Issued with two cards both can also be used for the electric power in the room. Rooms above average size with twin beds, large built in cupboards with full length mirrored sliding doors. You also have dressing table with mirror, small table, chair and bedside units on either side of beds. Balcony is not large but comfortable enough to sit in evening with usual plastic table and chairs. The TV has Sky channels with only the news channels English speaking. Interesting listening to John Wayne movies in a foreign language. Beds very comfortable and changed every three days rooms cleaned everyday. The rooms also have air conditioning July
