Cambrils Holidays

4 out of 5 from 42 reviews
Located 62 miles south of Barcelona, Cambrils is ticking a lot of boxes for a lot of different people. The key draws remain its near constant sunshine, endless beaches and gastronomic delights, with seafood being at the top of the menu. Equally important is its central location as it is bang in the middle of the Costa Dorada close to the PortAventura theme park and the nightlife of Salou. Other attractions include the nearby vineyards, golf courses and water parks. Alternatively you could stay in Cambril and get lost in the beauty of its old town and its many excellent restaurants.

Only go if you are a couple, we spoke to a family who had holidayed there last year same time and said it was SO much better,so much so they booked again for this year only to find Different Management.,,,not good plus you can only take your little ones swimming in a very short hourly gap....after breakfast! And please don’t order packed lunch....no more to say on that So Poor,

Cambrills and Salou and great places to visit either as a couple or with the kids, i last vbisited 14yrs ago and lots has changed for the better and work is still ongoing to improve things but this is just cosmetic and doesnt intrude on the visit.
Go into Salou at night and see the coloured fountains..
I cant say much more about the Hotel or resort , other than if you are looking for a good hotel in a nice part of spain then look no further. Happy holidays :-)

Salou/Cambrils border, in between the two main resorts so choice of either. Beech very good, two main resorts excellent (though very different) - area in between bit ropey on main roads, promenade fine but lot of graffitti - as expected though and don't be put off - it is a good location!

Resort very clean, beaches very good try Salou and Cambrils.

Walk along Salou at night when lit up.

You can hire pedal boats for 10 euros on the beach.

You can get English newspapers from 10:30 across the road from the hotel, sky sports available in lots of bars, some bars even show English soaps !

Stay in Cambrils if you want to avoid being reminded of England, it is a holiday resort for the Spanish. Beach across the road from the hotel.

The resort was great, we visited many of the local shops (although they were all pretty much the same and sold similar stock) we went to many of the large selection of attractions including the PortAventura, (it has to be said that Hurakan Condor is a ride not to be missed), Aquaopolis, which we found ok but had been on all of the slides by midday which left not much else to do for the rest except sunbathe on the sunbeds and watch a great dolphin show, we also went to Barcelona, many buses offered day trips at a reasonable price... do make use of them and do not go alone if u do not know the area... u can get lost easily, also watch out for pickpockets everywhere, my partners wallet almost got stolen whist getting on the train!!
Scuba Diving was also a service provided at the Cambrils Princess Hotel by an outside agency, this was an experience i will not forget and would love to do again, swimming underwater with the fish was amazing.

We walked to Salou along the prom with the kids but it took almost an hour. Buses cost €1.20 and there doesn't seem to be a child's fare. Theres a "Tu tu" train but im afraid despite all our best efforts we never caught it. No timetables anywhere.

Beach was fine but beaches in Salou seemed much nicer. Even the sand looked cleaner in Salou. This hotel is set in an area of spanish holiday apartments which opened on our last day, Im sure from then on it won't seem so abandoned.

Loved portaventura.

Managed to find several bars that had great free entertainment and food that was piping hot and delicious.

The beach was beautiful and not crowded opposite the hotel but the sellers who tour the beach are a nuisance mainly selling fake designer goods and some don't take no for an answer.

Would not go to this resort again as it's a poor mans Benidorm.

the beach is great very clean if in the summer you walk along the beach go to one of the beach front bars even at night very romantic.they put lanterns in the sand and you sit have a nice long cool drink and listen to the waves.if you want night live and not the entertainment from the hotel you should get a bus to salou (bus stop right out side the hotel accross the road)when you come back bus stop right out side the hotel what more do you want.salou at night is kicking.clubs like bond007.not my cup of tea.loads of shops open till late bring plenty of money.last but not least the theme parks universial potaventura you have to go what a day out fantasic.great rides(dragon khan, sea odyssey, templo del fuego, tatuke splash.well worth the money and the water park in la pineda is well worth the visit.they have a whale and dolphin show included in the price
