The resort is very spanishy which is what you want if you want to sample their culture.
There is flamenco on the streets on a ight if you go at the right time of year and little market stalls.
The beaces are imaculate and you don't have to walk miles into the main part of town.

The resort of Hospitalet is mainly for the Spanish and does not cater for British visitors at all. The beach was cleaned daily but there were no sunbeds or watersports. Entertainment was very lowkey, there were a few small bars and resturants but no late night entertainment, everything shut at 12am. We may just have visited at a quiet time, we arrived 11/7/04 but there did not seem to be anything at all for teenagers ang young adults. All the shops in the town closed 1pm to 5pm but most were very f tourist shops. The town has a railway station and it was only 15 mins by train to Salou or an hour and a half to Barcelona.
