we stayed in the playa margarita last year and liked it so much that we are going back this year.staff friendly even though most of them didnt speak english we made ourselves understood.made friends with a lot of the staff, didnt think much of the entertainment but dont worry about that as their is a lot more entertainment nearby, food was okay, and we couldnt complain about anything.we did try to take a couple of apples from the dining room to eat later on ,we were stopped and asked to put them back. bus stop nearby and also their is a little sightseeing train which is a must.hope anyone going enjoys it as much as we did als if you go to the top of the road turn left and walk along the lovely beach front you come to a little spanish pub which is run by a brother and sister who speak good english and are very friendly

Definately wouldn't stay at this hotel again. The food was freezing and the pool area was quite small and packed in. In a very busy part of Salou and staying at the front of the hotel meant all the crowds and traffic noise. The bus stop was quite near though and loads of shops around. If you arrive at night they give you a cold buffet (leftovers) and that means on the night you leave you don't get a dinner which is shocking. We didn't get picked up until 8pm and we had to go for something to eat as the hotel wouldn't give us anything without paying for it and we definately wouldn't buy a meal in this hotel.

The hotel was very clean and our rooms were cleaned everyday.
You had to fight for your life to get an empty table if you didnt get in early enough food would run out,90% of the evening meals were cooked in garlic. The spanish might know what the English eat but dont have a clue how to cook it, no English tea or coffee(we took our own)only to find out that there were no fridges or kettles in the room,(about

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks in 2003. It is only a small hotel.
The food was nice but as in most hotels a little repetitive in the second week. There were a lot of guests who were British/Spanish and German and that did reflect a little in the food.
The entertainment is not that good just parrot shows and flamenco dancing which gets repeated the second week. But the hotel is in the middle of everything so no worries!!
The hotel staff are very friendly and the rooms are spotless and ours was cleaned every day.
The pool area is very nice with a pool bar which was handy.
Overall I think the Playa Margarita is an excellent hotel in an excellent location and I would not hesitate to go their again but if you are looking for brilliant entertainment I would visit a larger hotel
