beds made every day location good but up slight hill but salou train comes by all day staff very polite all entertainment was man playing organ, which was ok for mature couples, but not kids. no entertainment at all for kids day or night (kids school holidays oct 08)

The food was good but the service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired, they seem to think that they need to personally seat every person which caused queues at meal times (and we weren't in high season).
The staff seemed fairly pleasant although again the bar service was sometimes appalling (this seemed to be a common thread with the Catalan people though.
The entertainment was good if you had kids but if you want to get some sleep before 12 at night then forget it also don't ask for a pool view room its quieter on the street front. Overall the hotel was nice and I would recommend as it was fairly cheap but a no-no for young people or the infirm. One final thing there are 3 beaches within walking distance the middle one was the quietest, and the way the people seem to lack the understanding of 'personal space' you'll understand why.

The food was excellent and there was lots of variety.
My son has a lactose intolerence, so we thought we would have trouble finding soya milk. After talking to a rep about this, the hotel made sure we had soya milk to hand.
If you knew you were going out for the day and would miss dinner, you could order a lunch for you trip instead.
Hotel staff bent over backwards to help.
Entertainment was good although catered for lots of spanish and french.
I wolud visit this hotel again in a heart beat.

The entertainment was not the greatest but they are catering for a few different nationalities. Plenty more to see in Salou if its not your cup of tea.
Few reports saying the pool was cold it was not any colder than any other pool in Spain. Food was good not much choice for vegetarians but there never is in most places.
We've been to both water parks and found Aquapolis to be the best if you buy a kids meal in MacDonalds you get a child ticket free when you buy an adult ticket, saving us 40 euros. Buy tickets for Port Aventura, not as bad as Alton Towers at this time.

the pools were cold but not any more than anywhere else and in the hot weather was a godsend.
two lovely beaches very nearby (steps for one of them though)
the hotel location was good for us just a little away from the central hustle and bustle of salou.
portaventura is great but make sure you put your walking shoes on as it is very spread out, evenings there are better because it is cooler and the queues are half the size.
aqaupolis is fantastic the slides are great
we went on the plana bus to barcelona to see nou camp/shopping/magic fountains.we were warned about the pickpockets and were careful all day then we got picked at the fountains literally in 10 seconds,so beware.
also security at hotel isn't great a family there had there bag stolen twice in 1 week once off the back of her chair in the restuarant and once at the pool.
i would reccomend this hotel though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay,(quad room a little squashed for 4 people though)

The pool is freezing so beware my only complaint would be that the brochures portraye is that the
Playa Park is for families and couples what it does not tell you is that there are groups of teenagers
male and female who occupy the lower floors, so if your idea of fun is to be woken at all ungodly hours
of the night and you do not mind your children subjected to foul language then this could be for you ?
Not my choice so will not be returning.

The bar staff are very helpful and keep the bar very tidy. They also provide a snack bar and two happy hours (by 1 get 1 free) every night.
The food was wonderful, especially as my partner is a fussy eater. They have lots to choose from with lovely desserts and fruit to.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you Barcelona town. The Salou tram also stops not far from the hotel to which takes you most places in Salou or Port Aventura (which is great by the way).
I would definatly come back to this hotel and recommend it. It has everything you need.
