We have stayed in this apartment last year and thought it was brilliant, so booked up again for this year 6/7/17-15/7/17. On the 11th July we were faced with a horrific experience my children will never forget (or us!).
As my husband was making breakfast in the open plan kitchen/living room there was loud cracking noise which we did not know where it came from until it got louder, initially happening slowly but before my eyes it seemed like an earthquake was happening the tiles right down the middle of the floor started to split right down, cracking and lifting in an upward direction with pieces of tile blowing out from the floor.
As my son stood on the far away side screaming, i will never forget the look in his face i told him to jump and run. all 4 of us ran out the house. contacted the owner immediately and within an hour the maintenance guy arrived speaking no English... so we did not understand what he was saying, as we sat waiting for another few hours for the owners to arrive. Upon their arrival LAURA & GERRARD, they were completely shocked as they had stayed at the apartment the week prior with there kids, so you think they would be genuine.
They both convinced me to come into the apartment and i refused to stay they said they could either put us up in another hotel (not knowing where) or get it fixed the next day and give us compensation. The next day we went to theme park and came back to a TEMPORARY fix which consisted of the tiles removed and replaced with MDF and a rubber mat placed over it, they had left a watermelon (of which we gave to the next door neighbour) and cheap bottle of cava in the fridge.
During the last 4 days of our holiday my son cut his foot on the tile and we were constantly asking the owners regarding compensation and even on the return, LAURA said she would speak to GERRARD regarding this, and on the day of our deposit refund there was no compensation. upon asking constantly we were just ignored and when they did respond bottom line said they would not compensate.... Paying well over £1000 which we have worked hard for and waited all year for a holiday, the amount of time we have spent trying to contact the owners regarding something they promised and having the full day wasted waiting to find out what was happening on the day of the event has completely ruined my experience and holiday we all as a family waited so long for.
I would recommend Playamero resort to anyone but my advice is to stay in a different apartment not FLAT 212, the next door neighbour could not believe what they were charging us to stay there and the modernisation of there apartment was far superior.
Is the building safe... i'm not sure if you speak Spanish you may find out.
