We just spent five days at the Mario and do not think that we could have had better value for money anywhere. decorated in minimalist designer style it could be described as a boutique hotel.Situated in the Opera barrio it is so central for all the major atractions of Madrid most within walking distance but with the metro perhaps 50 yds away getting about is no problem. The staff are very obliging reporting a dud bulb in the bathroom was dealt with immediatly. The included breakfast is a continental buffet and is available until noon each day, there is a safe in each room and internet in reception at no cost. The only downer was that the air condition equipment broke down and was out of action for the final days of our stay.
