The food at the Mermaid is one of the best we have had in an all-inclusive hotel with plenty of choice.
The hotel was spotless. We even saw them cleaning the shower heads with a toothbrush. The room cleaners were faultless.
The location was ok for Sri Lanka as most of the hotels are not near the touristy places.
The hotel staff were the best that we have ever come across from the gardeners upwards were always happy to help.
Entertainment is low key, some nights it was just an organist, other nights Limbo dancers with fire; it varied. The beach boys were wonderful we found them to be friendly and would find things for us if we didn't know where to buy them.
This is one hotel we will be returning to.
